Problems:

injuries.

shoe-Horning players out of position due to injuries: aka, amrabat being deployed at LB.

shoe-horning players in general. Play players in their actual positions or bench them.

sancho/greenwood/Antony. That’s 3 would be big players in this team under intense scrutiny/out of action for us. Antony is back but anything can happen regarding this and it’s still all up in the air. It’s negative. Especially sancho at the moment. He’s a popular lad in the dressing room also.

the Mason mount/Bruno conundrum. Can they play together? or does it have to be one or the other.

the goalkeeper leaking goals. He needs his confidence back and fast.

the ownership. The glazers are still here stinking the place up.

the structure: no director of football. Rubbish recruitment. We don’t have the best in class across the club. Don’t have the best facilities.

dalot Isn’t good enough.

rashford form is off but won’t be dropped for whatever reason.

maguire, martial, mctom still at the club and not been replaced.

I'm positive if we play Amrabat as DM and Mount as AM we would be a better side. A big club like ours should be able to find a young player for LB. Or we go to 3-5-2 and use Dalot and Garnacho as WB. There are options and right now ETH is choosing the worst.

I think casemiro and amrabat in a double pivot would work well and put mount on the right. But we'll have to wait and see. Amrabat could be a game changer for us but it could quite easily be us hoping/expecting too much from him

True. He should have picked Casemiro, who is no 1 in your list, or Rashford, who is no 4, or Shaw who is in the hospital or Varane who is always one step away from the hospital.
 
The Glazers are problem number 1 but they cant be blaimed for the stuff on the pitch. If we had a RB and a LB I guess Ambrabat could play instead of Casemiro

ETH also is too stubborn with positions. He stuck with Rashford too long as striker. He continues to play Bruno as a right winger. And now it looks like he'll continue with Amrabat as left back. Some of these decisions arent evidence of stubbornness because they aren't decisions at all. Rashford played at striker because we didn't have fit striker in the squad. Same thing with Amrabat at LB, same thing for Bruno at RW when Antony was subbed off in the past. You can handwave injuries away all you want and insist the buck stops at the manager but don't pretend like there are answers for all of these problems, because a lot of the time there aren't any.

Casemiro has not been a good DM since last spring and ETH has to recognize this is the number one problem. If not solved, we will continue to lose.

Casemiro is not actually a DM. At RM he played the DM role, besides two other players who like himself were also mixes of 6/8 and 10s.

At United we saw on Wednesday he’d arguably be our best 8 or even 10 and Amrabat is our best CDM when he gets a chance to actually play there.

I think the best of Casemiro will come he plays further forward.

Shaw would have been a better captain than Bruno.
