Prime Bale or Prime Salah?

Bale is probably the person you'd take in a single game final but he's never shown he can take a team to said final, and the vast majority of teams can't afford to park a Bale on the bench and make it to the finals of whatever competition we're talking about.

I'd only take Bale over Salah in a single game final if I was promised that he'd deliver his peak performance or if we really narrow it down to one specific season version of them. Then yes, maybe he'd be a better choice. But otherwise I'm always taking Salah and I'm pretty sure vast majority of manager would do the same. His levels of consistency as streets ahead of Bale and no amount of long-range goals can change that.

I completely disagree. I'd pick Salah over him any day.

I'd pick Bale for the "entertainment factor". He was definitely more eye catching..

Great question. For one and only game, peak Bale over peak Salah without any doubt.

But if I needed to count on that player over a month or whole, Salah by a mile.

I'd pick Bale for the "entertainment factor". He was definitely more eye catching..

I don't care much for rating players according to "finals performances" (it's just another fecking game) but I can think of 2 finals where Bale has stolen the show, and I'm sure there's a few more. With Salah it's harder to recall.

Entertainment is subjective of course, but Bale at his best was definitely more electrifying, like a hurricane.
