If he gets cleared of those accusations then I think it would be a great addition. But if the club decide they want a blanket club policy of having nothing to do with players facing even allegations of abuse then I would understand. And then Ronaldo would surely get shown the door.

As a club I think we need distance and be seen to be making decisions based on good morals. I personally would not go near him unless he’s found innocent not because he got off from lack of evidence.

So our all new transfer committee and scouting set-up basically boils down to the following steps. Step 1: Identify position. Step 2: Identify most expensive potential target for said position.

I really hope someone at the club realises this is what we've been doing for the past decade without any sort of success to show for it.
