Can we realistically expect a signing/interest of a player to be announced today? I hope we at least get an idea of where things are heading.

Interest, maybe. A signing, very unlikely. Certainly not something that will be announced in the press conference. We've introducing our first new manager since 1986. That's as big as it gets.
 
For anybody expecting anything regarding transfers....

David Moyes 2012......

"I never talk about players at other clubs, I wouldn't do that.
"I don't like it and I didn't like it when I was a player and I kept hearing there were other centre-halves coming in to take my position. I wouldn't talk about players at other clubs."

"If there was any news, I would give it to you. You will need to wait until midnight tomorrow night and then we will let you know what is happening."

This when asked about Nikica Jelavic, who he went on to sign the day after.

So don't expect too much, and don't also rush for the panic button because he's been one to play things close to his chest in the past.
 
He'll just address how many additions he wants to make hopefully, no individual players.
 
It'll be an hour of the standard "I'm honoured to be here" stuff, probably a couple of Fergie stories, a complete dodge on any possible transfers and then the declaration that we are signing Rooney to a new deal. The one surprise I am hoping for is that he announces that we are also signing Nani and Evra to new deals.
 
I guess the embargoed bits will feature the really interesting stuff.

Thanks for that, very informative on how he deals with transfers. I guess we'll just have to be patient.
