Well, in terms of favourites, Jose showed that he was happy to play Ibrahimovic, Lukaku, Sanchez and Matic....no matter how good or bad they were playing.
Conversely, no matter how good some of our other players were playing, they'd get benched.
The same was true at Chelsea, when he kept playing Ivanovic, who was playing really badly.
Martial was a good example, of a player who was in good form, but he kept getting benched. Bear in mind that I am not a Martial fan and would happily see him sold this Summer (due to him wanting to leave our club).

jesus christ this argument again. Does Van Gaal playing Blackett or CBJ means that they are United quality? At least CBJ looked promising. McTominay was lucky to be in competition with Willock and Redmond to make up for numbers in the first team when we needed a palyer because of injuries, he was most phisically ready. It is good to see a player with a good character and spirit but that is absolutely it. Now it is time to move on.

When we were winning and exciting. US Sports fandom is more fluid than that in Europe, they will shamelessly follow success and glamour. Don't underestimate how far the Utd reputation has fallen in recent years, being mediocre and boring is not a great combination.

Well, to be fair, I think United fans are not as thick as other fans in that we don’t wear the shirt out to dinner or to the movies. I see Liverpool, RM, Barcelona shirts all the time. I only wear my United shirts if I’m going to a match or viewing party. I went skiing once and there was an old geezer in a full Liverpool kit pulled over his snow suit. Had a hat and all.
