Premier League Players We Should Look At

Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Aarons, Chilwell, Rice, Neves, Ndidi, Longstaff, Maddison and Brooks all instantly spring to mind.

Why would we look at Vardy? The guy turns 33 in January

Vardy would be the perfect sort of player to challenge/back up to Rashford, if Rashford is indeed the way Ole wants to go.

Vardy is better than Rashford right now, but obviously Rashford has way more room for improvement, so if he ate some humble pie and made it his mission to learn from, and then knock Vardy out of the park, then we could have a very good player, if not then Vardy plays for a while, and we have a very good striker for a year or so.

John McGinn reminds me so much of Milner when he played for us. Guess the big teams will wait to see how he plays in prem but he's one I can see playing for top 6 in next 2-3 years.

Yes his pass percentage stats aren't amazing but sometimes you need one of your 3 midfielders to contribute in other ways and he gives a lot in terms of pressing and ground covered and chips in with goals, similar to Herrera.

Edit: Luka milivojevic at Palace is one I think could step up to be a squad player at big 6. Chips in with goals with his penalties and FKs and generally a solid DM.

I suppose the problem is you sign these players and many of fanbase will treat them with disdain and go "how are we suppose to close the gap to Man. City with those signings?!"

Worth remembering Spurs sign Trippier from a relegated team and Liverpool signed Shaqiri, Wjanaldum and Andy Robertson all from relegated clubs.

I am surprised that Ruben Neves from wolves isn't mentioned more. He's looked so at ease in the premier league already, I think people forget how young he is.

Wonder what his market valuation is. Can't help but feel all the big boys will be after him in the coming seasons
he'll stay at wolves for at least another season if he goes anywhere it'll be for a team in the champions league.

Neves would be a great signing, but he would be crazy overpriced.

Players like Ndidi, Maddison, Doucaré, André Gomes, would be better value for money.

James Milner became a regular starter at Leeds as a teenager, was a key player for Newcastle when they were still competing in Europe and was one of the best players from an Aston Villa side that were regularly competing for the top six. And yes you can get quality contributors from the Championship or Relegated sides but, not just any player from those sides. Wijanaldum played only one season at a Newcastle side that had no business getting relegated and he was their leading goalscorer from midfield. Shaqiri was the star of the Basel side that knocked us out of the Cl and was a squad player for Bayern's treble winning squad.

Players like Richarlison, Pereira, Doherty, Wan-Bissaka could be good, but could be shite.

Players like Neves, Jota, Tielemans and potentially Maddison would all be better buys imo. Just seem to be a lot more rounded and have more to offer than that first group - which show a lot of potential.
