Premier League Not So Festive Season

City have always been there to get at, except no one last season except Liverpool had the balls to do it.

You wonder how many 35-50m defenders City can buy before they actually look defensively solid.

What's happened to City? Is Pep missing Jose or something?

Seriously, what's going on there?

That style of play will never allow itself to be defensively solid. Don't think he really cares though because if they're on form they'll outscore you anyway. Liverpool have the better balance right now of being able to grind a game out.

Can Spurs pull off the impossible and win the league?

No chance.
They've already lost at home to Liverpool, and history shows when the moment comes, Tottenham disappear. Coming 3rd in that 2 horse race the other year said it all.

They'll finish well off City in the end.

But but... Liverpool don't win league titles, right?

I do recall the moment and I have reservations because of it, but then again Liverpool have been known to let it 'slip' on occasion as well.

This was actually a joke, referring to the fact that I don't think Spurs even came up into 2nd until the last 3rd of that season (City/Arsenal spent most of that season either 1st or 2nd) but this is forgotten in the subsequent analysis of the season.

I'm just saying that I'm sure that despite Liverpool being so far ahead of us, even if we end up 2nd, we'll still have been accused of bottling it I'm sure. :D

Won't be sad if Liverpool let it slip and we sneak in though believe me!

Fecking City screwing up. Can't they do anything right?
Nope. The one year Liverpool properly challenge, City turn out to be complete wimps. They were the better team against Liverpool and should have won that game and now find themselves 7 points behind. Terrible reaction to adversity.

Oh well. Let's get ready to defend our 1 title lead next season.

Liverpool has to play us at OT and you can put your house on the fact that they will not leave with 3 points. So there is that!

I refuse to accept that reality. Not until i see those dirty knuckle dragging fecks lift it.

Very flat from Brighton so far. Playing into Arsenal's hands.

Would be big 3 points for Arsenal ahead of Liverpool away and Man. United popping up in the rare view mirror again.

It'll hurt more.

I've accepted this happening. They've got all the momentum and a comfy 7 point lead.

Let's hope you're right, will certainly be rooting for Man Utd then (and actually generally, I like OGS).

I remember all the guff about "we'd be top 9 out of 10 seasons" going on last year with united. You had 42 points at this stage last year. Good enough for 4th with a 2 point buffer to 5th place.

Despite a Liverpool win favouring us, I don't think any United fan wants it, though I can't speak for them all. Personally, I hope Arsenal lose today and beat Liverpool. Though from the looks of it, the exact opposite is likely to happen.

How is this relevant to anything?

The same happened in 2005.

Don't know how long the ban was back then even. IIRC that was around the time the mods liked trolling posters by ghosting them.
Long enough that the Istanbul match thread was deleted and never seen again.
