Premier League matchweek 2 (august 19th-21th)

Lucky but predicted win for Liverpool. Better for them to keep Coutinho or they're up there for a difficult season.

Arsenal will now defeat Stoke pretty easily I predict, too.

That Liverpool Palace game was dreadful. Really poor football on display from both sides.

I was planning on watching Arsenal game afterwards and the Atletico game after that but watching that Liverpool game has made me want to sack that off and do something else.

Watford looking interesting this seaaon, bossed most of the game, haven't allowed Bournemouth to play
Rate Marcos Silva very highly. He is destined to become a great manager imo. I have a soft spot for him after he was disrespected by sky pundits on his appointment last year.

People shit on Pulis as manager and his style of football but for me, he is a good manager, better then Eddie H. for example.
Imagine having to watch that every week though. I had a look at the West Brom forums, they're not keen on him even though they're doing well.

De Boer is a rubbish manager who has an outdated way of his teams trying to play football. He won the league so many times in Holland with Ajax because the likes of PSV were shite, along with Feyenoord.

He'll be sacked before we play them in October. A con of a manager

August 2015. We get linked with Mane. Redcafe in uproar. Except for Kevin.

I wasnt joking about the top 6. They look the weakest among last seasons top 6... and there is often a surprise over achiever..
Yep, I agree. With Europe and pressure in the domestic cups I expect the to finish in their average position of 7th/8th.

How fecking frightening wouldn't our attack be with him at RW.

Travesty that he plays for Liverpool, it is like having a Ferrari in a barn.

I initially wanted to sleep after Liverpool game, but I need to watch another match to purify my eyes after watching that

Liverpool look like they've gone backwards rather than progressed.

Not worried by the this season on the showings so far but it's very early days.

Everyone media included had already handed title to City this time last season I think?

In retrospect, van Gaal had some solid targets before he was sacked. Mane, Lukaku and Eriksen. Of course, he wouldn't have been able to prise Eriksen from Spurs, but he could have caused problems for Lukaku and Mane with his style of play.

Pleased with Jose's transfer business so far, but Mane still rankles. The one Southampton player who would have been really worth it as opposed to the ones we signed.

You would have gotten peppered with alot of ferocious green smilies had you said that about Mane back then.

It does make me laugh that Liverpool got criticised for not being able to win ugly last season against teams that sat back but when we do precisely that, we get criticised for looking shite.
It wasn't a great game by any stretch but I'll take a scrappy 1-0 all day long. Our defenders played well with the little they had to do and once again Mane, Firmino and Salah all looked good.

Arsenal have too much shite filling their team.

Wenger will get a lot of negative critics after a possible loss. Bellerin still on the right, why? Kolasinac should be on the left. Holding not in the squad after a bad game. Two fullbacks in the center, can't understand it.

Kolasinac would be a rubbish wingback in Arsenal's style of play, options on the right wing are very limited and long-term it's in Arsenal's interest to get him back in form, Holding needs to be protected and Monreal has all the qualities needed to play as a composed sweeper. You might have a different view but they're all perfectly reasonable decisions from Wenger.
