Premier League Gameweek 9

City stumbling, Liverpool dropping like flies.
Makes not starting the season with Sancho, look an even bigger mistake.

They have one player out plus the overrated Gomez.

They will be fine once the transfer window comes. They will walk it.

There’s been 4 truly top class tangible managerial performances this PL season: Dean Smith against Liverpool and Arsenal, Rodgers against City and Mourinho against City. That was excellent by Mourinho. Rewind a few years and we’d coin that a Mourinho masterclass.

Still nothing less than a world class manager.

Great result and fantastic defensive performance. Hojbjerg and Dier brilliant.

Looks an excellent signing. Feel like he's the type of shielding player United are missing in midfield. Matic doesn't have the legs anymore. Seeing his performances at Spurs so far makes me wonder if Romeu would turn out to be an equally astute signing for us.

Romeu is a good and underrated player but he’s not as mobile as PEH.

Defensively wise they really played to Mourinho's tactics to perfection. They were running through walls today, which deserves credit for Spurs I guess.

They have been always great on counters with Poch as well so Mourinho just needed few touches to keep it working.

Of course, they're going to lose several points the next few big games so this win should be huge for them. Give them a bit of luxury of losing some points in this difficult schedule.

He has been absolutely brilliant so far and getting better and better each match. The amount of times he wins the ball back for us is remarkable.

Perfect tactics and execution thereof by Spurs.

Trying to out-possess the ball against City is a mug's game, so you sit deep, try to defend well and play on the counter, especially when you have Kane, Son and other players who are very well-suited to the counter-attacking approach.

Good performance and good result. Well deserved.

No chance. One injury to Son or Kane and its over.

Klopp will just buy the league via buying a CB in Jan.

That's bollocks. We have Bale, Moura, Bergwijn and Vinicius ... that's good squad depth. Moreover, you can play this "what if injured" game with the best players of any team, including our rivals.

Very shrewd pickup Hojbjerg, good age, good pedigree, minimal risk

Son or Kane isn't like Rashford, Martial, Greenwood, Bruno or Fred.
Imagine if Spurs had as much bad luck as Liverpool. Kane and Son injured and/or Covid.
Son and Kane are a level above the rest

Huge drop in standard.

That Vinicius looks a handy player from the limited amount I’ve seen from him. Is he on loan or permanent?

Loan with option to sign permanently.

I didn't know only one team in the whole world could be in trouble at the same time.

Im sure you're aware, that the media love to stick the knife in when it comes to united. My point is the media will turn a blind eye to this and focus in united's troubles. City are just as shit this season.

Norwich top of the Championship honestly just feck off.
Norwich, West Brom, Fulham, Watford. These cnuts just like to swap positions every single season between all of them. Complete waste of everyone's time.

From the newly-promoted teams WBA are the ones that it's looking the most grim for so far. They did get a nice result against Chelsea (3-3), and almost drew with Spurs, but I'm seeing a lack of decisiveness at both ends of the pitch that I don't see from any other team at the moment. Against some better teams they'll probably be able to eke out some draws, but so far I haven't seen enough attacking quality for them to win the amount of games it takes to stay up.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but United and VAR is a bit dodgy now...

Bruno nearly snapping a Villa defender's leg in two and getting a penalty for it, Maguire hilariously manhandling Azpilcueta and nothing and then a blatant foul on West Brom bizarrely overturned.

Honestly so baffling.

The way Fernandes takes penalties should be banned.

What was wrong with VAR tonight?

Kyle Walker is a special kind of shit isn’t he.

He's nothing more than his physique. Blessed in that department but nothing more. When his pace goes he'll be a championship player. He's been good for us to be fair but easily the worst technician at the club and his positioning is horrendous.

The decision to overturn the West Brom penalty was laughably bad. The call for the ref to even go and check it was bad enough it was such a blatant foul.
Balls, thats never a pen. Even the West Brom player on the ground gave it away with the way he looked around

Surprised more keepers aren't standing behind the line for penalties. Obviously will move forward when diving and gives that split second longer to dive across.

West Brom nearly scored again, think there's a goal for them here but they might be 2 or 3 down when it happens.

They are improving from their bad early games so think win isn't too far off in next few weeks.

I feel awfully sorry for West Brom having had a clear penalty overturned by an incompetent VAR referee. That classic 'double punishment' occurs eerily often, with Utd getting a soft and scarcely deserved pen moments later. Their luck continues to paper over the cracks and inconsistencies in Ole's tenure.

He missed the ball and kicked the guys shin. It's a blatant foul.

Guess which one they gave?

One player?
So you're not considering TAA, Henderson, Salah and Thiago players?
Plus potentially Fabinho though he's 50-50.

I understand though mate. I'm saying they'll still cruise Sunday and the league to try and jinx it too!
