Premier League Gameweek 36

Jason Steele becoming a 'modern' keeper at 32 after 4 years of being an absolute backup and not much else that just works due to being given consistent confidence in generally staying true to the approach is a fantastic story of the season.

I'm being deadly serious too, if Pep was made England manager tomorrow, he'd be in with a serious shout of being his preferred keeper over Ramsdale. It's madness, but a terrific story of the season, he's made errors, but De Zerbi and a fanbase that isn't insanely on your back for them has now allowed for him to flourish, despite last weeks result (today proves it was a massive anomaly).

Wouldn't call it a bottle job, the just got beat by a better team on the day. I know people will say that they were so and so many points ahead at one point, but it isn't easy when the other team wins every single game they play. There's no room for slip ups.

Anyway, Steele is indeed incredible with his feets. For all the talk about how Ramsdale supposedly transformed Arsenal, he looked as bad as De Gea today in that regard, and he is also not a particularly good shot stopper.

Today isn’t where Arsenal bottled it. Soton, Liverpool, etc results are where they did. Dropping points to two relegation sides along with blowing a 2 goal lead to Liverpool

Are Brighton filming a documentary or something? Another full time dressing room feed.

The likes of Ferguson and Clough would have grabbed the camera and smashed it to a million pieces the moment it stepped through the door frame, before telling them to feck off.

Sky sports love showing celebrations for teams like Brighton and Newcastle

Fair play to Ramsdale for applauding both Arsenal fans who were still there.

All 12 of them that were left.
I’m really looking forward to Saturday now. Our last home game, the City Ground absolutely rocking, we need a win and Arsenal just blew the title and looked poor.

Yeah I reckon Forest will get a result against them and Chelsea will end up doing another guard of honour on Sunday.

Absolutely - as Vinny Jones’s ghetto blaster will testify “Play your music now Wimbledon”

Sure, I can agree about Southampton and West Ham being really bad, but the Liverpool game? They could have easily lost that, and just because you lead at one point in a game doesn't mean you bottle it if you lose it. And it's not like Liverpool has been bad the past months either.

Martin Tyler bleating about this showing it isn't a one team league while this result all but confirms 5 out of 6 league titles for a team that is on the verge of a treble, all whilst that team is facing over 100 charges of basically cheating.

He is absolutely done in this job.
His job is to sell the League as the biggest in the history of sports.… He is doing just that. Making people forget the immense cheating of the Abu Dhabi club, and that they’ve killed any real competition.

Potter built that Brighton team. Shame he got put through the mincer with us. Must massively regret it now.

Also shame our only pleasure from this season comes from rivals failing as well...

Well there you have it. United Arab Emirates (Asterisk City), ‘win’ the Prem Title for the third season running. If there are not going to be penalties or major points deductions for these cheats masquerading as a club, there should at least be a trophy for the real football teams, with real sponsors and real supporters. Brighton were great today. Other side of the coin, maybe.

Its not really been a one team league, how many is city’s titles have gone down the final day? They might be the most consistent, but they haven’t wrapped it up every February like one team leagues normally have…

So his integrity as well as his ability are in question.

When you exaggerate to prove a point it ruins the base of your point in my opinion.

It’s bizarre because Steele was woeful at Sunderland. His spot was taken by a guy who is now the reserve choice for the worst team in the Dutch league. He’s done incredibly well

He was signed as a cheap third choice emergency cover behind Mat Ryan and David Button(!) when he joined. I live near Jason and he is a genuinely nice bloke, works extremely hard (often trains extra, working on his passing) and is very popular in the club with all the staff and squad.

His improvement has been absolutely astounding.

ROY KEANE: That's his job.

Back to top 6 at best for Arsenal. The league will be so much harder next year. They won’t keep up

I don’t know how many went to the last day… But they’ve been massive favorites and they’re about to make it 5 in 6… Their players are disrespecting the league.

I wouldn’t call it disrespectful. He is just an idiot that doesn’t understand context. His Monaco side were a good competitive side but they were not massively favourites against the other big teams in the league. That’s why he found it “harder”. For Man City he has arguably the best player in every position playing with him, of course he is going to find it easier. Clearly lacks brain cells.

Don't suppose Leicester will come even close to doing us a favour... but if they can sneak a win, three points at Bournemouth on Saturday and it's job done. Having said that I expect Liverpool to be ahead after about five minutes...
