What's the best team Chelsea can put out tomorrow? I assume the likes of Hazard, Costa, Terry and Fabregas will not play

I bet they'll all start (not Costa though). Terry has played every minute of every game so far this season. He'll want to do the whole season.

You might see 1 or 2 from Ake, Brown, Loftus-Cheek or Solanki. It won't be a team full of kids, no chance.

I'd have thought they'll all want to snigger & smirk walking down the Guard of Honour, it's how much effort goes into playing that might be the question.

Aye, sounds more like Mourinho, the usual, barring Costa.

He'll love finishing off Liverpool's CL hopes.

Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Demichelis, Mangala, Kolarov, Fernando, Milner, Fernandinho, Lampard, Silva, Aguero
QPR: Green; Caulker, Dunne, Hill; Phillips, Barton, Henry, Suk-Young; Fer; Zamora, Austin

QPR most likely relegated in a few hours, would be nice if City dropped points just for that slim chance of 3rd though.

Since the Scousers love poetic justice, drama and symbolism so much perhaps it should be telling to them that roughly a year on from their dramatic choke to throw the title away they are about to give the guard of honour to the very team and manager that ruthlessly tore it from them.

How they must wish to write prose about how the planets aligned to result in their Talisman, the man who threw their league title away last season on his retirement month will have to clap out those who destroyed him.

Regardless of the result Stevie will be subjected to round after round of 'Stevie G' whilst he claps, whilst he plays, and you never know hopefully he may slip again, or pass it to Drogba, just once more for old times sake.

With any luck we will scrap the flags today for megaphones and Stevie G masks so that we can crush him upon the field of war with the chant and slowly melt him into the ground until all that's left is a small red starfish squashed into the center circle. After the match and forever more we can leave there a tiny footballing retirement epitaph for him.

Steven Gerrard: 'I think therefore I slipped'

Loftus-Cheek apparently starting for Chelsea.
Yeah, his half brother congratulated Loftus-Cheek on Instagram for his debut against Liverpool today. Loftus-Cheek himself also mentioned on Facebook that this would be the biggest day of his life so far.

Chelsea better not go easy on those cnuts.

Incredible how average that City team looks on paper.

They'll still probably win 4-0, mind.

It seems fitting that the team who gifted City the league title, will get sent down by that very team a few years later.

you could hear a pin drop in that stadium.

U.S. Commentators even mentioning how you can hear a pin drop at the Emptihad.

Just flicked over to check the score and instantly turned it up thinking there was something wrong with the sound.

Nope, just a library atmosphere.

Why is this game even on TV?

Nothing for City to play for

Nobody cares about qpr
