Premier League Gameweek 36

so if we beat them and they drop points vs Sunderland we can make 3rd. Highly unlikely but makes things more interesting.
They have better goal difference, so it's have to be losses to both us and Sunderland(not likely, but Sunderland play out of their skins in May, the 'ol escape...) for us to go ahead, then it'd be down to the final day.

So Swansea won double vs us and Arsenal, thats interesting imo.
They've done brilliantly this season. They've been slightly under the radar thanks to Southampton, people are finally taking notice of them. Fair play to them.

3rd is still far off, need to beat them and then hope they mess up again. Won't happen.

Finishing 3rd is still pretty unlikely but at least it gives us something to aim for now in the last 2 games.

All we can do is make sure we do our job and get 6 points.

Ospina arguing with technology is the greatest thing about todays match.

3rd is still unlikely, but this gives us something to play for the last two matches!

Swansea doing the double over us and Arsenal. What were the odds on that?

FFS that West Brom game just hit me, had we won like we should have done, we'd be sitting pretty.

Monk looks like he's becoming a very good manager. He's a mixture of all the managers he played under at Swansea but a bit more pragmatic than the others were when need be.

And that´s what I was talking about last week, when I said Arsenal were pathetic in the 2nd half and that they seriously lack a killer instinct, meanness and dirty edge to them. Their squad might be the most talented in the whole league, maybe 1-2 enforcements at CB. You put Klopp in charge and he wins the title with the squad in the next three years. They are ridiculously talented in midfield and up front. They just f*** around too much.

They have no leader on the pitch that can be a positive asshole that can push everybody, and will the ball into the net, so maybe it has to come from the bench. Or Khedira is not such a bad idea for them afterall (assuming he can prove a clean bill of health). He´s not the most technically gifted player, but in that Arsenal midfield he doesn´t have to be. He just has to be their emotional leader and their engine. Much like his role for Germany.

Even 2 points from those 3 games would have probably made us favourites for third :(

It's disappointing, but let's not forget we were very lucky to win some our games earlier in the season such as Arsenal and Southampton away. Liverpool will also be kicking themselves for failing to pick up more points against West Brom and Hull to put pressure on us so it could be worse. ;)

If we beat them and Hull then two draws would also be enough.

Might be even 1 draw is enough if we get lucky with the goal difference but it is unlikely. If we'd beat them convincingly than you can over turn the 7 goals difference in just that 1 game. If they than draw you could run out further but they still have the game in hand to add to their goal difference.

Fecking missed penalty from RVP that 1 point could have made a world of difference !

Well at least the Arsenal game won't be a complete dead rubber now, we can probe against them for our CL qualifying games, the quality of those teams and Arsenal's are similar.

Swansea now also in the race for 6th place
Would love if they kick Tottenham out of Europe, probably not good for the EL, but Spurs are playing like shit right now.

Wenger really is a pain in the arse. Fails to break down a team who arrive with a solid game plan but then it's everyone else's fault. Even the Goons must get tired of him.
