Premier League Gameweek 36-37

Southampton could not give a single feck here. Absolutely shameful.

The difference between this Liverpool side and United in the 90s and 00s? United side had clout. Every team turned up to play their cup final against us and make a name for themselves.

Firstly, we set the tone for opposition to Liverpool. We were their easiest win at Anfield.

Often teams did lie down against us too in fairness. Like this Pool team, get the first goal and then all resistance fails.

But overall I think people accept defeat against City and Pool. I found the same with the supposed invincible gooners too. So could just be perception..

How did Liverpool make a "roaring" comeback? It was a 1 all draw at halftime. With both teams not playing particularly well. And then a goal from a corner that is headed goal bound from a headed clearance/deflection. Then Soton actually figure out you can put balls into the box towards the end of the game.

What’s the fecking point of Southampton just standing off them at 2-1 down? Played like cnuts. Then decide to give it a go the last two minutes. Pricks.

A lead hasn't changed hands on the last day in the PL era. Hope to feck that doesn't end on Sunday

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: this liverpool team is the luckiest team in the history of sports. Not just football. I mean all of sports. Its absurd.

Important win. Saves me from watching Sky Sports later with live coverage of City fans waving flares in the dark and Pep and cronies on a zoom call with cigars.

City should beat Villa at home easily.
Indeed. This whole narrative that Gerrard will win us the title is quite ridiculous, it's not like he's the second coming of Guardiola. He'll do the best he can to get his team fired up no doubt but City should just have too much quality for Villa.

You just know Gerrard will defend for his life for a draw; camping with 11 players in their box.

At least we can laugh at City I assume. This reminds me the game against QPR 10 years ago.

As much as I hate to admit it, this Liverpool team is built different, they know how to win even if their 7-8 starters are unavailable, Klopp and his mentality monsters have my respect.

Waiting for Carragher to say how poor Southampton were in the post match analysis. I won’t hold my breath ! It’s going to be a wankfest with Redknapp !

Southampton were garbage. They only reason they are not in a relegation scrap is us ffs...

Maybe so, but they could hardly have picked a better team to play. Southampton put a lie to the fact the Premiership is competitive throughout, they were dire and their fans were booing their last home performance

Gerrard has done a dreadful job with Villa, no way in hell will they take a point at the Etihad. It will be closer to 6-0 than 1-1. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are 2-0 down after 15 minutes, Villa also play on Thursday and will have no rest compared to City.

Liverpool have now played 61 games of the 2021/22 season. 21 players have played 20+ games.
And they have only lost 3 games out of the 61. (One of them was the second leg V Inter Milan, when a loss put them through).
Fecking unbelievable!!!

Then they're luck will run out at some point then.

Gerrard to throw the game on Thursday and play a full strength side on Sunday it is.

Impressive use of our squad by Klopp. I don't think I've seen a Liverpool manager get so much out of an entire squad like Klopp does. Minamino hasn't kicked a ball for us in weeks and yet he scored tonight.

I don't see how we were lucky tonight. Completely dominated most of the game and Southampton hardly had a sniff.

What, like a Ward-Prowse overhead super flying triple summersault volley equalizer in the 92nd minute?

Now you're just being silly.
flying triple summesault would have been better than aguerooo moment
As Neville said. All it takes is a penalty or Villa camping in their box or deflection or anything and it's over for City
Gary? Oh dear, you listen to Gary .. Don't do that to yourself.

Helps that the recruitment has porduced more hits than misses.

Konate finishing the season well
