Premier League Gameweek 35-37 + FA Cup semis

Palace have 4 losses in 5 matches since the restart and this is looking like 5 in 6 and there 1 win was vs Bournemouth and they allowed 3+ goals in 3 of those matches and could have another allowed 3 goal game today

Why again are people calling them a tough fixture?
They’re game raisers again good teams. They were pretty unlucky not to get something against Chelsea to be fair.

If they win all three games it’s possible. Everton, Arsenal, West Ham. You’d have to say it’s unlikely but you never know.

5 points will be enough if Watford lose all three, West Ham and Arsenal away and Man. City at home. Could even stay up on 34 points if Watford lost 5 or 6 nil v Man. City which usually happens.

You seem to win as much as Selhurst Park as Villa Park season in season out. Can't remember the last time you lost down there, 90s?
May 1991.

In fact, we've lost only 4 times at Palace in our entire history. 1925, 1972, 1980 and 1991.

Their football has been awful for quite a while.

Palace were losing left right and centre when they tried to go more expansive under De Boer. It is sometimes a case of being careful what you wish for. They are comfortably above the 40 point mark and I’m absolutely no danger of relegation, and have now switched off as they have nothing to play for. Not sure there’s much more to read into it personally.

I’m pretty sure they’ll be fairly pleased with the season though. I don’t think playing good football is a big deal for palace, they’d much rather avoid a relegation battle which they have done successfully.

Interesting. You've had the sign over them since the 1990 cup final. Also had a pretty good record away to Wimbledon when they were in the premier league.

Grealish can be a real irritating player to watch at times. He holds on to the ball for far too long when he should be releasing it. At times I feel he wants to get a free kick more than he wants to be productive with the Football.

I give Roy the benefit of the doubt concerning Palace's football as I've seen them play some great football before lockdown.

I'll miss all the audible swearing when fans are back.

"FOR FECK SAKE!"

I won’t miss commentators saying “Apologies if you heard any inappropriate language just there” literally every single game. Yes we get it your going to pick up swear words with there being no crowd noise, who the feck cares.

Not having the Peaky Blinder personally. Works himself into shooting positions and then just continues running and running.

Things is, Palace are probably aware of what happens when they try to move to a different style, look what happened to De Boer (last just 5 games). Can't see Palace sacking Hodgson at the end of the season
That said Palace do need to keep the likes of Zaha and Milivojevic or they could sleepwalk their way to relegation next season.

I was just looking at that. Pretty good record there although Wimbledon and Charlton both beat us twice in the 80/90s during their stints at Selhurst Park.

Yeah I think so too. I’d prefer us to get someone else.

Same impression I always got with Hazard. Seemed that his pride came from ‘being so difficult to dispossess’ than affecting the game.

Benteke taking it off the head of Dann for a certain goal. Hopefully the oaf starts against us on Thursday.

If he comes over and plays like this he'll be resented very quickly. I perfectly agree with your view btw.

Can Hodgson not read? He's sat in a seat that clearly says do not use. These celebs think they can get away with murder

I’ve decided I don’t rate Grealish. Not the player I want us to be looking at.

He’d cost way more than he’s actually worth. He’s a Spurs type player.

Dunno why but that made me laugh

Worryingly professional standard of game management from us in the second half.

Back to Dog and Duck standard v Everton just when I get my hopes up...

Good decision!
Does he really want to come and sit on our bench? Because he gets nowhere near our starting lineup when everyone is fit.

I’ll be a bit confused if we pay so much money for him. If it was like ~40 Million then he’s an upgrade on Lingard/Pereira fair enough. I doubt he wants to be a squad player here when he can go be a starter at a team like Everton/Spurs etc
