Premier League Gameweek 35-37 + FA Cup semis

Thought it was a foul on Reina personally but yeah certainly odd for them to disallow that for handball.

Refs need to start using monitors. Who are the people making these VAR decisions? They're having a mare lately.

Wolves thoroughly deserve to be where they are in the league. Well managed, well coached and they've got some very talented players. Huge difference in class and style between them and Everton today. Everton never looked like doing anything. Ancelotti has so much work to do with this squad.

Wolves shat the bed when it really mattered and just beat a useless Everton side when the pressure was off. I give more credit to the likes of Sheff Utd and Burnley tbh, and find the Wolves fascination on here bizarre. They play diabolical football considering the resources at their disposal.

Sakho didn’t celebrate much and didn’t protest which maybe tells me it did come off his arm. Also if Baily got handball given for the pen v Bournemouth then surely Sakhos is the same?

Didn’t Jay Rodriguez score with his shoulder the other week?

What even is the handball rule anymore?! That's one of the most bizarre decisions I've ever seen.

The future of this Palace-team:

Guaita 33, Van Aanholt 30 in a month, Dann 33, Sakho 30, Ward 31 in 2 months, Milivojevic 29, McArthur 33 in 3 months, Kouyate 30, Zaha only 27, Ayew 30, Benteke 29

Well you are allowed to use your shoulder to score otherwise why the hell are offside lines drawn to players armpits?

That would have been more justified than giving a handball. The player Reina bumped into had eyes only on the ball though and barely moved. Reina just ran into him. Awful goalkeeping.

Under the new law handball law, which the Premier League got special dispensation to not implement until next season. That wouldn't be disallowed, nor would Bournemouth get the penalty against us if they used the new armpit down interpretation.

Even though I don't think Bailly's penalty or Sakho's goal are handball. The ref should wander over to the monitor.

Oh come on. I’d be embarrassed if De Gea went down like a sack of potatoes from contact like that.

Hodgson probably thinks they're all teenagers given he's 72. Will be someone elses problem.

I'm open to correction but the only other team Wolves beat by a 3 goal margin this season was Norwich?
That’s crazy if you think about it. Jiminez, Jota, Adama... our attack in comparison has managed to put 3 past Man Utd, Spurs, Chelsea, Burnley and it’s clear we need to improve our attack too :wenger:

Think its harsh but if they give that penalty against Baily the other week, then they have to disallow that goal

We see countless incidents like that given for a free kick on keeper in games. VAR bringing issues onto themselves again by announcing they were checking for and disallowing for handball when it wasn't.

Grealish crosses near post twice and Villa players are nowhere near it again.

Miliojevic is a quality player imo. Not having that type in midfield is one of the reasons we're going straight back down.

Villa aren't good enough. They spent Fulham levels didn't they? Is there something to be said about spending too much too quick upon promotion? Or is their coaching staff & manager just a bit shit

If Villa do go down it will be a long time before we see them again in the prem.

This group of players minus Grealish isn’t going to bring them up. Not having anyone decent to replace Tammy from last season killed them off.

Nah I reckon we'll be better than last time. We went down in a worse state in 2016 and got back up in 3 years which is pretty good compared to likes of Forest, Leeds and also Sunderland who could take another 10 years to get back.

Probably need to change manager and who knows who we'll sign. We actually signed better players in the championship when you think we got in John Terry, Snodgrass, Tammy and Axel Tuanzabe, way better quality than what we signed last summer.

McGinn has been poor since he came back so I expect him to stay and he's a good player in championship. Tom Heaton should stay aswell as he might not be fit start of the season.

How the feck are they saying over and over that Villa were due some luck from VAR after the Sheffield goal was never awarded?!

Yes

True - you have a decent defense definitely good enough to finish top 4 in championship. Just need to find a replacement for Jack and a good striker. Easier said than done!

You can just tell Mings is a giant pussy. Would never dare pick on someone his own size.

Mings is such a monumental prick. At least he's not stamping in heads this season so far.
Terry and Mings going down is delicious.

Samatta's looked like a Sunday league striker since we restarted, no idea what's happened there as he played well v Spurs and in the cup final.

£105m+ on 12 new players in the summer (note Mings and El Ghazi were signed permanently, having being on loan the season before). You can compare Villa to Fulham, promoted via the playoffs, spending vast amounts of money on new players, with a manager making his PL debut.

I recall Wolves beating spurs and City 3-2 this season but winning by a 3 goal margin is rare for them.

Hard to believe Benteke scored about 50 goals in three seasons for us.
