Premier League Gameweek 35-37 + FA Cup semis

We really ought to beat West Ham at home, them having nothing to play for. If we can't do that, this club should just call it a day and go back to working the railway. A draw at Leicester will then suffice. And as I understand it, if we beat West Ham 3-0, we can even lose 1-0 or 2-1 (or 3-2 etc.) at Leicester and make 4th, right? What happens if we beat West Ham by one and lose by one to Leicester? We beat them 1-0 in the first tie so everything would be dead even.

No? If we beat West Ham 4-0, we can lose 3-0 to Leicester and still go through

PL Rankings are based on:

1) Points
2) Goal Difference
3) Goals scored
4) If still equal, same position is awarded. How the PL sorts that one out, I have no idea.

4. Points in head to head matches
5. Away goals scored head to head matches
6. Playoff ( for spots that matter - relegation, Europe, title)

Are you fecking joking?
Please explain where I am wrong. We have equal GD. GD ranks ahead of goals scored.

Nevermind I just read the new head to head rules, I never caught that one this year. My bad.

Nevermind2: I just read the rules in its entirety. Goal difference still ranks 1. I stand by my original post.

Right now we are both on 62 points and +28 GD.

If we beat West Ham 4-0 it will be:

United 65 points +32
Leicester 62 points +28

If they then beat us 3-0 it will then read:

Leicester 65 points +31
United 65 points +29.

The goals they score are goals we're conceding.

If we beat West Ham by one goal our GD will be +29 while Leicester’s will still be +28.
Then, if we lose by one against Leicester, our GD will be +28 while Leicester’s will be +29.

We’ll be level on points, but we’ll lag behind in terms of our GD.
We’ll miss out on top 4.

Right, but what if we beat West Ham 2-0 and lose 1-0 to Leicester?

Then our GD will be + 30 after the West Ham game.
After Leicester, we’ll then have +29 GD and they’ll have +29 too.

We’ll then lose out on goals scored as we would have scored 65 against their 68 by then.

Yeah, I forgot about that bit

Just a thought here, but maybe Ole could get off his arse and let the fourth official know that there are two sides out there? It might also wake up some of our players to show some signs of life at the touch line.

Not sure Arsenal will be worried about playing either side in the final based on this game.

Something needs to happen to get it going.

Oh DDG... when he's on he's amazing but when his mind is not on the job he's a disaster.

De Gea is finished. Sad to see how far he's fallen. Losing confidence is killer, magnified when you're a keeper.

This might make it a bit difficult for United to smash us in the final, as so many posters were predicting.

No idea why so many people thought it was some foregone conclusion you were already in the final.

Do one mate. Wrong crowd.

And so many of you wanted to rest players. This is what you get!

Lose all momentum and rhythm FFS

That’s bad from De Gea, really bad.
It's a horrific mistake, but not only on him. Why did United's defenders let Mount just run on goal without closing him down? It's so similar to the goal they conceded against Spurs a few weeks ago.

Tbh I hope you get banned soon and the mods notice your only appearances here are to wind people up. Do one.
