Rodri is pretty technically superb as well, while having those attributes. The way he schemes around the pitch is like Busquets except quicker and fewer weaknesses in my opinion.
Busquets couldn't win any of the big international tournaments without Xavi or Iniesta. His last big win was the Champions League in 2015 when he was 26, while he played a part in Barcelona being overran against PSG, Roma and Liverpool in big games without the other two. Put Rodri in with those two and they're even better. But in terms of being remembered, yes it's true. Rodri is 27 though, you could probably see Spain have a chance to win one of their next three tournaments with the talent they have.

Hard to see where City drop points between now and the end of the season. Arsenal's fixtures look trickier and we have a couple I could see us having difficulty with.

Speaking about legacy, not just Rodri - Busquets comparasion, Redondo only has 1993 Copa America in his cabinet (just 29 caps overall as well). Doubt that is the reason people remember him as one of the greatest players in his position, so if Rodri continues with this level going forward (meaning, being City best player), lack of international trophies won't be held against him.
City has a harder schedule, when you take all competitions into account, certainly harder than Liverpool, at least.

I don't see it but yeah forgot they still have CL and the FA Cup as well. I'd like an Arsenal City semi final where they can have a go at each other towards the tail end of the season.
For us I think United, Fulham, West Ham & Villa away stand out. Spurs at home is the other one. We should win the rest.

To be fair looking at all the sides I think Arsenal have perfected killing a game. They are incredible at controlling space and playing the positional football that is statistically the best.

As for Liverpool I think you’ve got enough weaknesses that eventually 2 points get dropped.
It really depends on injuries from here on in.
They could have a very exhausting run to the champions league final, and a lot of these title run ins are decided by absolutely stupid dropped points somewhere along the line.
I've said before I don't really see any of the three clubs dropping all that many points or having a run of fixtures that look scary but someone will do something daft, like drop points against Palace or Wolves.
Would people have been happy if we battered Brentford like Brighton did but it finished 0-0? Sometimes you just need a bit of luck, performances to me mean more than results, you could play awful but scrape a 1-0, or you could dominate and give everything but not score, I’d rather see the team try and give everything than looking like a team that doesn’t have a clue how to play football.
Brighton have an actual style of play at least but I feel like De Zerbi doesn’t have a plan B. They look out of ideas on how to score.

Think spurs away will be city’s toughest game. Spurs are kind of like there bogie team the last few years.
Unfortunately I feel Liverpool have biggest chances, given they're 1st (well tomorrow will be again after Sheffield United game) and their schedule. We beat them few weeks ago in the cup but it'll be much more difficult in league to take even a point off them.
You’ve never heard of a generational talent? You and I have very different definitions of a very good player then. Odegaard is a very good player, Foden is world class and would get into any team in the world.
They always struggle at Spurs, haven't scored a goal in the league there since 2018 somehow.

Reiss Nelson is another who has about 1 start every three months. He used to go on season loans and do o.k. Can't remember if he signed a new long term deal but he seems just happy to be a reserve.
Smith Rowe is too good for those clubs, or to be compared to Brandon Williams

It's us, not them. Would imagine most teams this season have recorded their largest number of shots against us. It certainly feels like that watching games anyway. Even in rare occasions we play well we give up too many shots.
In terms of entertainment I can't remember worse back-to-back Arsenal games since the lockdown era. I was worried by the team selection but Arteta was proven right in the end. Much tougher game on the horizon and hopefully we will be well rested for it...
Yep, this isn't 'its their cup final' thing. We've had teams take about 20 shots against us in many games. It's the way we're set up to allow it. We don't try and keep the ball, at all.
Brentford didn't even play above average against united. United were just horrendous. And somehow still managed to not win after scoring 95th minute goal to take the lead. Says it all

Bit of both really. No question this team is their own worst enemy and opponents knows this and some take full advantage of that by bringing the proper attitude - like Brentford and many more before them.
Both ESR and Nelson deserve more game time for their development. I hope they can get it in Arsenal.
