Premier League Gameweek 3

2-0 ahead after 17 minutes Brentford was from total gifts. Outside of those goals they had no other shot on goal, 29% possession and just a mere 64 successful passes.
Possession doesn’t win you games and stats are in general are meaningless without context. They were much better than you all over the pitch, you lost every duel in the game, refusing to accept it is purely delusional.

Zaha looking down on Martinez

Onana

Fecks up and loses it in midfield, tries to rugby tackle the player running away with the ball and fecks that up as well.

Henderson has been solid again... we'd better make the move permanent because we can't have that

I see Brentford are being beaten by the mighty Fulham... seems all you need is for your club to be run by half competent people...

The main thing with us is effort which is why I'm happy ETH made them run the 14k when they were meant to be off. It's embarrassing to be outran so much by an opponent.

They played very well, sure they were gifted a couple goals but even the gifted goals came about from intense well synchronised pressing. Ignoring the fact that they went 4 goals up and adjusted their approach so this is going to be reflected in the stats you mentioned, football isn’t just about on the ball work. They pressed and applied pressure early on to disrupt United’s rhythm and force mistakes, and after getting their goals they were able to stay compact and stop United from having any momentum or meaningful possession.

It was an outstanding display and they deserved the kudos they got
I beg to differ in regards to outstanding performance. 2nd goal the pressure they applied was praised in reality Degea had two unmarked defenders to pass the ball to or clear the ball further down the field what he did was ridiculous.

3rd goal same as last season unable to defend a set piece properly that's on United again not the opposition.

Onana lucky to avoid a second yellow two minutes after his first, and now hoofing it into to stands like a John Smith's advert.

Looked good in his other cameo, but he's been an absolute pub player in his first few minutes in the pitch here.

ha ha I just deleted my thread to reword it - and they equalised

They are average side that capitalised on error ridden flaky United team that was easy to score against and beat. Delusional is saying anything else.

Henderson looks better than any version we've seen from De Gea since 17/18.

Yeah, Lingard won't be getting his contract extended. I'll be surprised if he even makes the starting XI much longer.

I don't want Henderson back, I just want someone who is not a giant pussy in goal.
