I think the action of kick is deemed to be still in the Keepers possession, so a player can't stop him from that action of kicking the ball. Could be wrong.

It still counts as being in his possession when he throws it in the air to kick it. The Brentford player would have had to intercept it *after* the goalkeeper had kicked it for it to count.

The thing about this one which is interesting is that I always understood you cannot do that because the ball is still 'under the goalkeeper's control'. However, the striker here makes contact with the ball when it has just left the penalty area as Martinez takes a stride out of the box, so how can a goalkeeper even theoretically be in control of the ball with his hands if he is outside the box?
