Premier League Gameweek 3

Bournemouth are even worse than Chelsea at defending to be fair.

That may be the case, but they are still setting up to defend deep and thus have to be broken down

I can remember a few occasions when we have struggled to score against them

He’s exactly what United need. That kind of player.

We don't create enough, although I agree we could do with someone like him, I think we could do with a David Silva or Kevin De Bruyne more

When can VAR be used in Premier League games?
VAR will be used in all 360 Premier League matches this season.

It will only be used for incidents involving:

  • each goal scored
  • each penalty awarded
  • each straight red card shown
  • cases of mistaken identity
The technology cannot be used to advise on:

  • yellow cards, including second yellows
  • potential fouls in ordinary open play
  • to decide on corner or throw-in awards.
VAR can also alert officials of incidents of foul play missed by a referee, such as an off-the ball incident.

Seems not in cases such as this, where yellow was given? Stupid if so.
The men in the VAR room should have been yelling at him to 'Put that fecking yellow card away you clown'.

Yellow card in no way impedes VAR to intervene if they believe it could have been a red instead

Sterling's goal looked easy. Amazing how good your team is when you have real talented footballers.

David Silva playing 10. He's not as hardworking as Lingard though.

It's crazy how City and Liverpool are still wayyyy better than everyone else in the 'big 6' even after a whole summer of the others trying to catch them up.
