Premier League Gameweek 29

Uh, did everybody miss the part where ayling kicked his Gabriel's knee?

Cant believe anybody here doesnt want Arsenal to win. Some insufferable fans but a different level of club to Man City.

Why do we keep having to go over the same thing every weekend? It’s been done to death as to why some don’t want Arsenal to win and why some would prefer them over City.

As crazy as it is, Welbeck would genuinely be our best striker if he was here still

Nobody ever has to interact with Man City fans added to the fact that nobody respects anything the club wins (I know this is the same for Chelsea) means a Man City win is almost as though nobody wins.
When Arsenal is the first club you learn to hate at a specific moment in time when becoming a Man Utd fan, it makes a world of difference.

fair points all, but I really dont see Arsenal sustaining any success and if their fans are annoying then the fall will be some enjoyable schadenfreude. Sportingly, at least theyve had to have a long and slow rebuild and not just guarantee a title every other year. Theres no comparison for me, Id sooner arsenal win it for sure and still wouldnt really see them as a long term threat to anything Ten Hag is trying to achieve here.

You can see its their year. Everything goes their way. Scoring against the run of play.

Definitely. I mean, they've been really good, but have also gotten everything they needed in terms of late goals and dodgy calls.

The beauty of a forum I suppose, is that 'we' don't have to collectively do anything. There are hundreds of thousands of posts and people engage with them in different ways at different times, and believe it or not, many people just keep scrolling by anything theyre not interested in or feel theyve read before. Shocking, but true

The stats on that palace game first halve  Roy going for it!

I make that 5 times now an arsenal player has pretended to be more injured than they actually are. Pathetic stuff

Nothing particularly crazy about it. He should never have been sold.
Both him and Evans. Evans was always better than Maguire. Sold him for pennies, spent 80m on Maguire and Leicester got the better player from West Brom.

...have you ever been kicked in the knee while running?

Nevermind, it's still a foul
It wasn’t a kick. His foot up there, Jesus ran into it. Contact yes but not enough for a man to go down like that. It’s like if I’m running to make it to the bus and I brush against someone on my way. It won’t be enough for me to fall and not make it to my bus.

Yes, I played plenty of football. Took much harder kicks at much faster pace and kept on going. It's as soft as they come and Jesus is happy to go down to win the penalty. It's a bad look for the sport.

He wasn't running? He took a dive. Stupid from Ayling. Raised foot, contact made, but was the gentle breeze that caused Jesus to fall

I was a huge fan of Welbeck and gutted when he left but the sliding doors scenario where he stayed at Manchester United doesn’t look good for us at all. The poor guy had horrendous luck with injuries. If it didn’t work out for him at Arsenal why would anyone think it would have worked out for him if he stayed put?

And Nani as a makeweight in the deal for Rojo. Zaha for peanuts. Then complained he had no pace in the squad. Vetoed a deal for Kroos. Staggering really.

Our abysmal transfer record doesn’t mean the decision to move mid table players on weren’t good decisions. That’s his third goal of the season

Yeah we've done brilliant with the 100s of millions thrown at forwards since. Good decision.

Ben White scores, cancel football.. blokes crap and is now scoring goals. What's going on?

No, but I’m not 12 and don’t think any contact should equal a penalty.

Brentford's set pieces are going to be a big threat on Wednesday.
