They won't get near it. They play both, and I expect them to lose both quite comfortably.
If they can't win the league when they're competing with Leicester and Contes Chelsea they aren't in a million years winning the league over this Chelsea and Liverpool side
It's like people forget both the coming 3rd in a 2 horse race, plus the continual impressing UNTIL there's a possibility of winning something, then screwing up.
Absolutely no reason for it to change, especially not against better teams.
If they give away the chances Leicester got today, they will get hammered, because Liverpool and City will not miss them.
Contes Chelsea weren't in Europe at all that season and achieved the second highest (now third highest after City's season) points total in PL history. I mean, we're not winning the league but that one seems a strange stick to throw at us.
It was also a side that had bang average players like Cahill, Alonso, Moses and Pedro playing week in week out. Fair play to Conte for doing what he did with that bunch but let's not paint them as one of the best ever PL title winning sides. They're not a patch on this City or Liverpool side
I've mentioned it on this board before...we were never 1st that season. Arsenal were top of the table at Christmas (joint 1st with Leicester and ahead of City, who in turn were ahead of us) and Spurs didn't actually break into the top 2 until mid Feb (ie 2/3 of the season in). Its strange that if we'd done the season the other way round like Arsenal had (spent most of the season in 1st/2nd), then creep up to 2nd on the last day after the other team has stopped playing, there wouldn't be anywhere near this same critique.
Either way, was hilarious to watch this demolition of Chelsea.
Yep completely fair but the reality is that we didn't 'let them win', they won an insane number of points and that season, we were only 3 points off your own record (89 points) for total number of points to not win the title in the PL era. I didn't say that they were one of the best sides at all, just that winning 93 points makes winning the title almost insurmountable for other teams. Heck, even last season's City would have only won the title by 7 points and they literally broke record after record.
We won 12 of our last 13 games in the league that season and still somehow got called bottlers

They’ve apologised for it which I think is kind of laughable, it’s a song. They’ve done it before anyway I swear.
It was very small-time, and completely consistent with City as a club, but not worth getting upset about I don’t think.
It's hardly disrespectful, if it was another team doing it to City we'd probably be pissing at it. They ruined it all by apologising though.

Restricted Wolves to 4 shots on target which isn't too bad.
Wolves had a great season but they tend to struggle in these home games v bottom half teams, lost to Newcastle, Palace and Huddersfield at home last few months. They would honestly prefer to play an Arsenal or Man. United who would attack and leave spaces at the back.
