Premier League Gameweek 26 fixtures (9th - 11th Feb 2019)

That is not the definition of luck. Luck is when something happens by chance. A deflected goal for example happens by chance because it is not by design.

A deflected goal happens because a shot bounced of another player, it’s not by the player taking the shots design but it is the design of physics. An external force didn’t force the ball into the player then into the net. Your still saying *luck* was at play when it really wasn’t.

There's me thinking they would go on a terrible run with Son missing a couple of games, and Ali & Kane out for 2 months or whatever..

Seriously though, Leicester are massive game raisers. Not for us or anything, but just for any of the top six .. very good against us, Liverpool and United but seem to be utter cack whenever they play a team in the bottom half.

If Puel can sort that out they've got some genuine quality in the side.
Noticed that as well. Varys loves it against the big sides.

Only saw the last 5 mins. Of course Son scored. He almost always scores when I watch them. Top quality player.

Really nice of Leicester to gift Us and Spurs a win and take points off of City and Pool

Excellent result Spurs. Now when City lose to Chelsea you just have to beat Burnley to go second with no games in hand scenarios.

Add to the pressure. :)

We didn’t play well against Leicester, an off day. But didn’t give up half as many chances as you did.

We were meh today and Leicester were very good .. but we still scored three goals and arguably shoulda had a penalty. I'll take that for an off day. You've had those as well against Burnley, Leicester and even against us you were hardly free flowing for most of the game, it won't always be pretty under Ole either.

They're a very annoying, difficult team for the top six to play and we're missing two of our top players. Not really arsed that it wasn't a sparkling performance.

City are far easier to defend against without Sane. Feck off Pep.

I hope Puel doesn’t get sacked. He’s quite clearly a very good manager.
He's got to go. Leaving your best player on the bench is grounds for a sacking. Not like he has this group of Leicester players over performing.

I respect him for dropping Vardy if the stuff about disrespectful comments are true.

The luck is through something happening by chance. That being a player sticking out a leg, the shot hitting it and then going into the net. If that doesn’t happen by chance then what the hell does?

 Are you guys seriously arguing about definition of luck for 2 hours or so?

Most people didn’t give us any chance 12 hours ago, now we were lucky and should have got a result away at Barca, honestly you couldn’t make some statements up. If anything we were unlucky just to get a draw, I guess it’s all about perspective.
No such thing as luck. But Spurs can be unlucky. That’s what we should take away from this.

Yes. This thread is like having Slippy Mou in charge again.

It happens cause that’s physics, people call it luck other team calls it unlucky. When you say luck though you are saying that some sort of external force helped or hindered a person or team, there is no evidence of such a force.

Take out last minute goals and that's exactly what they would have done.

Fair play for grinding it out, but they've been very fortunate lately.

Need City to of their jobs today. Pepito better come up with the win.

What comments? Puel must go if he's fighting with a player who's been nothing but brilliant for them.

Huh? Even if the player is the one in the wrong?

Vardy has been great but no one player is more important than the club!

Unsure what to expect from that City line-up today. Chelsea look to be dangerous with Hazard and Pedro on the break to play off Higuain. I’m not as confident as I was all week about this game now... :nervous:

Higuain is definitely a more threatening name to see on the teamsheet than Morata or Hazard playing as a striker, that's for sure.

Leicester were really unlucky today. Had they been more clincal in front of goal, they'd have got at least a draw today.

Fans apparently moaning about Puel but he's got them playing good football, in my opinion.

Still makes me feel sick having to cheer for these but I'll do a little fist bump Tim Henman style if City score rather than shout, I feel less dirty that way.

They definitely play good stuff. You wonder if Harvey Barnes would have been better staying at WBA until the end of the season.

And then when we beat you guys in the next game, they'll be just 2 points behind you lot ;)

So apart from today's game, do we want City to win remaining fixtures to stop Liverpool from winning the title? I would say yes if it didn't mean that City could get the quadruple.

A Liverpool title, or City winning the quad? I have to go for Liverpool - I doubt they will win it every year like we did, but a quadruple might never be achieved again and demotes our treble.
