Premier League Gameweek 25

Chelsea's forwards defy conventional wisdom by seeming to become worse the more space they're given. They'll do neat little back-heels and one-twos in tightly congested areas, but give them their entire half to run into with a clear numerical advantage - basically every top level forward's dream - and they all seem to have a collective anxiety attack. The number of great opportunities they've wasted on the counter this season that won't even show up on the stat sheet because they've fecked it up before getting a shot off is amazing for a team at this level.

Gusto is a good player.

The handball questionable, the movement might have been sanctioned, but he wasn't looking at the ball. It looks like a reflex movement.
The shirt pull never a pen, or else Maguire would commit 3 pens each game.
So you’re allowed to grip a player’s shirt and pull them to the ground? That’s good to know.

Did Nkunku know this is a professional game? I swear he was half assing everything once he came on

The only angle that shows it could be a penalty showed once. Conveniently
Not a penalty. Any super slow mo will show a foul on every bunch up in the box. Handball looks deliberate in slo mo but in real time not even close

What happened to obstruction being called, Haaland quite clearly should have been called for it a few times in the last 20 mins, 20 years ago it would’ve been called.

Let me explain things.
Liverpool are a hateful rival of United. City could win eleventy titles in a row and it wouldn't matter.
Hence City winning is the lesser evil.
I support Chelsea and the last thing I want is for LiVARpool to win anything at all

Feck off it's Liverpool's year, this is sickening

Nah, Arsenal might be the best team in the country at the moment. I fancy them to take it now barring injuries to Rice/Saliba/Saka.

Whatever happens, it's them or City IMO. Liverpool will finish 3rd.

Arsenal could be 3 points clear with a +5 GD on the final day and I'd still not completely fancy them

If that penalty call wasn't given against us, it'd be talked about for 10 minutes after the game. They've barely mentioned it here.

That was like two or three pens in one

Two penalties make a corner apparently.

Arsenal still need to go to the Etihad and Old Trafford
City need to go to Anfield and Spurs

Yes, but most statistics I've seen have Liverpool as the 3rd best team this season. They don't have as much control over their games as City or Arsenal do. I think (and hope) they'll start dropping points soon.

This is heavily distorted by their performances from earlier in the season, when they were riding their luck.

They have been quite outstanding since December.

Fair play where due: Jackson did good there. He still sucks but that was well done.

City look suspect on those counters.

People slander Jackson all the time but he actually plays well most games. He’s a very poor finisher but he’s a good overall player. Anyone who watches him week to week instead of seeing random clips on twitter of a missed chance would agree. He was very good today, a constant threat until Poch decided to sit so deep that it killed all the counter attacking threat we had.

Brighton away will be a tricky one for Man. City if they're going there after playing a hard CL match (mind you Brighton will have their own euro match aswell probably).

Liverpool might look out of control in most games but they end up winning by 2-3 goals. Their front 3 is insanely productive. They could win all games apart from City and United games where I expect them to drop points.

Yep, united got a point at Anfield. I expect Klopp will have them ready to win that one at old trafford big. City have a tough time wining at Anfield so I expect a draw or Liverpool win. It will be a banana skin somewhere else if we don’t finish top.

Yeh it's hard for me to see Liverpool giving it up ATM. They just have bags of goals in them.

Christ that is worth 5 red cards, should get a lengthy ban rather that 3. Disgusting.

Mitoma extremely lucky that's not a serious injury, if his foot was planted there that would have been seriously nasty.

Proper use of VAR for once. Looked great tackle in real time, Ref was at monitor straight away. Fantastic use of technology

Whan an absolute piece of shit. Ban him for life. One of the worst tackles in recent years.
