Premier League Gameweek 2

There's the Everton we all know and love

Was that Pickford's fault though. Both CB's stood off and allowed pressure. What exactly was Mina doing? The ball was dipping a swerving as well.

Mina is definitely one those guys who runs his defenders into his own goal on fifa.

Blaming that on Pickford, and not Evertons organization and back 4 is very unfair. It was a fantastic finish.

Pickford will be the reason Everton will achieve nothing this season. They have a team capable of challenging for the top four and he's just a massive weaklink in it .

Everton are looking pretty good despite the score.

That’s some atrocious positioning from Pickford

From the initial angle, I didn't think he was too much at fault. But, the other various angles show how much space he left open on his left hand side. Gave Diangana such a massive target to aim at.

He's not a top keeper and Everton will need to replace him if they have serious ambitions. If they're comfortable at hovering around 7th-12th, they'll stick with him.

We are in the era of some really technically good managers managing many clubs in PL. Every season is full of so many uncertainties. If you are a player wants guaranteed trophies or CL spot every year then PL is not that place. Exciting league.

That sums up Pickford perfectly. He didn't get near that shot but didn't even appeal the award of the corner. He'd prefer people to think he made a spectacular save than what's best for his team.

Mina and Pickford are the main culprits. One lets him run and have a free shot, the other leaves the left side far too open. The West Brom player had so much space to aim for.

Still very early and plenty of time for Everton to win this. What a counter for West Brom but this is exactly the type of situation West Brom would love. Get a goal and just sit back deep, defend and frustrate the hell out of their opponent and get another goal on the counter. Long way back for Everton. For all their hype over their newly signed players, they still look very soft. Players like James Rodriguez and Allan don't seem the type to bail you out when you're in trouble.

Everton's biggest weakness is their central defensive spine in Pickford-Keane-Mina. They needed a new CB and GK as well this summer.
