Premier League Gameweek 18+19

Foden got on and quietly started putting some decent performances in, Greenwood has looked extremely poor this season and was dropped by Ole for apparent disciplinary issues. He quite rightly should be nowhere near the England squad.
It helps that Foden faced next to no criticism despite having an active girlfriend while Greenwood endured a mass witch-hunt for lack of a better phrase. Let’s not forget said hunt included lies like sleeping late and Bruno having a go at him in training as well. All this while facing personal issues. I can almost guarantee you that if Foden faced what Mason had to, his performances would have dipped to a level probably below Mason’s considering how much Mason was better last season. Let’s hope he doesn’t have to for the sake of his mental health.

That push on Foden was stronger than Maguire’s yesterday and they deemed that a foul.

Burn has to be the worst full back I’ve ever seen, he’d get done in an U11 game.

How did we make Burnley look like Brazil earlier in the season? They’re shite. Didn’t they hit the bar like 5 times? Scored twice...

They can’t string two passes together.

Spurs: Lloris, Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon, Winks, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, Sissoko, Kane, Son.
Subs: Hart, Lamela, Alli, Moura, Vinicius, Bale, Alderwiereld, Doherty, Davies.

Fulham: Areola, Aina, Anderson, Adarabioyo, Tete, Anguissa, Reed, Loftus-Cheek, Robinson, Cavaleiro, Decordova-Reid
Subs: Rodak, Hector, Kebano, Ream, Bryan, Kamara, Lookman, Onomah, Kongolo.

It'll be live on Amazon Prime for those that have access: 7.30pm for 8pm kick-off.

Because it seems obvious to us all now that our players werent fit, after finishing the season late. I dont think any of us took into consideration how off the pace many teams were in the first month.

He's not really a full back. Normally plies his trade as a central defender but Potter seems determined to convert him.

White is so poor in midfield. No idea why he doesn't just play in Burn's position

Here as well, White is a central defender and that's where he impressed for Leeds on their promotion journey last season. I think it is quite baffling that Potter is putting square pegs in round holes. As both of you note, their performances aren't exactly inspiring in their 'new' positions.

Kane hatrick incoming probably

Yeah, he definitely doesn’t look a full back, looks so uncomfortable there bless him.

City have been quite poor this half, Brighton could be well in this if they didn't make so many poor decisions in the final third

This is why while I think City are the favorites, they're nowhere near the 'clear favorites' so many have been saying the past few weeks. They're a good side but we get criticized for squeezing past teams, they've hardly been winning 5-0 every match. Think it's a viewpoint mostly spun by rivals who don't want to admit we have any chance of winning the title

Where'd this Tau guy come from, Brighton seem to have new players every match and they all somehow end up looking class
He was the Footballer of the year in our league two ye

He looked decent really, I thought maybe the pace of the Premier League would be too fast for him, but played well evrytime he had the ball.

He was the best player in our League (PSL) by far, The current best player from my country, was alright in belgium, lets see how he'll do here in the best league in the World.

I dont think theyre favourites at all. They just dont have the firepower which is their own fault with their summer business.
Its just mental mindgames that cant have us as favourites because we arent meant to be that good. If not City you would see Spurs getting talked up

Why Potter didn't sign a set piece specialist with so many tall players in his team?

Wan-Bissaka made Solly March look like Roberto Carlos. Cnut scored one and hit the bar against us. This is his true level.

They've been defensively excellent for a while now. 15 clean sheets in 26 games, 16 conceded 5 of which was in one game. They're a very tough nut to crack and this is why they're favourites for me.

You'd think on the one hand they have more gears to go up. But then on the basis of this season, they don't have the firepower to match United or Liverpool.

They remind me a bit of Chelsea 07-08. Steadily will climb up the table.
