Premier League Gameweek 17-19

Does anyone remember when there was cars, behind the right behind the right hand side of the goal during the 80/ early 90s?

Yeah and these little Invacars with people watching in them were common in some grounds.

Potter needs time to get Chelsea playing the way he wants, I think they'll come good eventually.

He's not on loan is he?

Yeah I've been told that elsewhere. I genuinely thought he was only on loan as stopgap to cover Lukaku and Werner going out.

That shows the limitations of Chelsea in last six months. They get in Aubameyang, sack Tuchel a week later and suddenly you have ill fitting CF for Potter's style and he's basically a waste of time now for them unless they change manager.

Was going to say they'll pay him off in the summer but that could be difficult if he's got two years left. No one is spending decent money on him either.

We are now again 4 pts behind City. Well, let's hope we can beat them this time, we need those pts.

Chelsea look in dire straits. Hard to know where to start to fix them. The amount of pissing about with the ball at the end , instead of being direct and trying to create a chance, was unreal. They looked clueless.

That Hutchinson was awful. Doesn’t look championship standard. Gallagher is a headless chicken. Utterly, utterly hopeless. City weren’t much better either and them being that bad with their billion pound squad is heinous. Haaland looked like a pub league player.

Watching that goal again, Kepa's got to be diving for that ball across
You either dive to try to intercept the ball or you commit to a diving save on his left. But just watching and doing neither was so weird

Seriously? Granted, he didn’t have the greatest of games, but…Pub League?
His run and first touch on the ball late in the 1st half were sublime! (The finish, not so much). To run with your back to the ball, into space, then turn and control it the way Haaland did was fantastic!

City look alright but beatable - Kev d B looks off the pace.
Yeah they looked very ordinary tonight, especially in the first half. If Chelsea had any decent forwards I think they would've beaten them.

He played really well… Won many duels with Haaland. Not something you’ll say about many defenders this season..

Credit where it’s due, he did do well tonight but over the course of the season, has he been better than the man he was brought in to replace - Rudiger. I don’t think so.

City's squad depth is ridiculous

If silva or foden aren't performing, they can bring on Mahrez and grelish!

Meanwhile we bring on elanga
easy to have stupid good depth when you have a country backing you financially and can spend money like no one else

Pub player maybe extreme, but aside from one piece of skill he did literally nothing, and they didn’t seem that interested giving him the ball either. Whether that’s on him or not is another matter. No other player hailed as one of the best in the world would have so little impact on the game. More I think about it something seems off with city, they lack cohesion, maybe a bit of the galactico issue creeping in.

So every single player ever considered one of the best in the world has had a significant impact in every game they’ve ever played in? Good to know.

I’ve watched that a few times and he definitely could have pushed it out , albeit into a dangerous area but he chose not to.
hard to understand thatdecision making
Looks like he's gambling on the ball running all the way through, as he didn't fancy claiming it cleanly. Massive mistake really.

He had an opening into the middle of the box with one or two players unmarked.

Hardly. Gallagher is unmarked but that pass isn’t really on - as soon as he goes to make it the city player behind him blocks it. I can totally see why he felt no choice but to shoot, he just didn’t do it very well.

The two City players are racing to the goal line while the Chelsea players hold their runs. They’re completely unmarked
