They're shit away this season. Also to be honest I didn't feel like they were anything special in that game. We just couldn't connect 2 passes.

Newcastle was always going to have consistency difficulties this season with CL football thrown in. Always happens. Shocked how good villa has been despite being in Europe, though easier competition so that's probably why they don't have the effect.

Nah, we have to get over this idea that other teams only try their hardest against us. It's just that we, as a team, put in a lot less effort as our baseline performance than most other teams of similar standing. The difference in aggressiveness trying to win the ball back is really stark everyone I watch us play vs Arsenal/City/Liverpool/Spurs.
 
So turns out I was right… Newcastle our shite… our useless f@cks just made them look good

That's pretty thuggish, and intentionally so too for Joelinton. Soft reds exist for that. I'm not saying it's a red really, but you see far less things get reds with almost zero intention all the time just because of silly shit.

Kulusevski is so good, a bit underrated I think because he's a bit more traditional and doesn't get the goals the modern wingers do.
 
It's interesting that this Newcastle performance seems to be getting excused as due to tiredness. We've played a similar number of games, also with a lot if injuries, yet we don't seem to be afforded the same excuses.

That's insane. It's a yellow card just for the cycnical foul, but then keep in mind how reckless it is and where the contact is and it's an obvious red.
 
Ok I know it's different as it's two yellows. But Ayew was red carded yesterday and Romero wasn't there. Now something isn't right about that.
 
Yet again refereeing and PGMOL in the mud. They are hopeless. Hopeless.
