Premier League Gameweek 14-16

Commentary are butt hurt. They are claiming if it takes so long it's not obvious enough. They weren't complaining when it took double the time to rule out the first half penalty.

I wish I could just have crowd noise instead of the constant fornication over Liverpool and trent

These penalty decisions confuse me, the ball was gone while Mateta was fouled, same thing happened with Antony V Chelsea, ball was gone before he was fouled, how is it preventing a goal scoring opportunity.
Think it's more a case of "you can't just go through someone cause the ball's gone". Like, if a defender went through someone off the ball elsewhere on the pitch then he'd probably still get a booking and a foul called against him.

Penalties aren't about preventing goal-scoring opportunities.

I don't think it has to be preventing a goal-scoring opportunity to be a penalty, it just needs to be a foul in the box

Doesn’t have to be. Loads of penalties are given where the punishment doesn’t fit the crime. How many handballs have we had given against us on the byline where there’s no danger?

Bloody hell Livepool posting our kind of stats, no shots in target in 60 minutes, is Klopp trying to muscle in on our territory.

Liverpool have four strikers, a #10 and a right back as their front 6.

It's baffling how long it took. One of look at the video and it obvious he took out his legs and did not get any of the ball.

This is nailed on 2-1 Liverpool.

Darwin to score in 92nd minute.

Quote me.

Seems the ref is feeling Christmas cheer towards Palace, he only seems to have cards to hand out to them.

Because it's not about preventing a goal scoring opportunity it's about fouling the player, both were clear fouls and clear penalties.

Penalties have never been about DOGSO.

Haven't paid attention to a lot of their games this season but Liverpool seem very stale every time I watch them.

The late wins are masking that but they've shown before the ability to keep making those comebacks.

As it stands, a win against Bournemouth and we're 4 points behind this lot (who are 2nd)

:wenger:

Still think Liverpool will equalise out of nowhere and give us a massive sweat for the closing moments of the game but they’re really not playing well this season. It has to catch up at some point

Anyone know what decides who gets the 12.30pm kickoffs? Pool have had quite a few of those recently but a team like City don't seem to get them at all.

They do seem to, which is even weirder given they’re in the Europa league

Ugh, man, this feed just posted the line up of the utd match and ruined my enjoyment of this match when I saw Martial in the lineup.

Usually the broadcasters but police may have an impact if they don't want a particular match held at a certain time due to crowd trouble or the police being elsewhere due to an event taking place like with the Queen's funeral or some protests.

Will Hughes looks like that mental priest/monk from Da Vinci Code.

Wonder if he plays with his chastity belt on?
