Premier League Gameweek 11

He’s only playing because he’s captain. The midfield against City should be Fabinho, Wijnaldum & Chamberlain.
Fully agreed, however he’ll play next week. He doesn’t offer anything other than intensity at the 8 and against teams like this it’s better suited off the bench.

God this is turd. The final ball has been so bad.

VAR playing a blinder at Villa Park although the linesmen are told to keep their flag down even if they think tight calls are offside.
If the linesman does that and its disallowed then all hell breaks loose even thought the linesman would have flagged anyway and in no scenario could it be a goal.

Dopey linesman have been putting their flags up on tight calls all season - despite the guidance. What matters is whether the referee has whistled before the ball hits the net or not. Referees appear to be more reluctant to whistle immediately to give the play a chance to break down.

But my point is that fans are quick to blame VAR for tight calls as if it wasnt for VAR then all of these goals would be given.
We simply dont know if linesmen would flag or not so a lot of these disallowed goals only get as far as being put in the net due to VAR itself, ironically enough

Mane is the biggest cheat in PL atm, despicable little diving prick

That was a disgraceful dive.

It was so bad it should've been a red just for how bad the acting was.

Yes that's a very good point. The linesmen are horribly inconsistent with applying the guidance, but yes, VAR does allow for more goals to be disallowed when the guidance is followed.

Henderson is doing my head in, Lallana is playing well and should clearly be playing further up.

If the one on Martial today wasn't a penalty then neither was that one. Nor the ones against spurs and Leicester

Mane is a right cheating bastard at the moment. Needs to be put firmly back in line.

feck Jon moss along with Atkinson one of the worst refs in the game. Being heavily influenced by the home crowd here.

Wow Trezeguet scored! And in this very particular game haha.

Glad for him. I hope he improved his finishing, as I said earlier it's his biggest weakness unfortunately.

Good. Your crowd got you the very soft penalty against Leicester.

Nice to see referees not giving it all your way for a change

Let's hope City hear the score from Villa Park and find their shooting boots in the second half. 11 attempts from them, 0 on target.
