Premier League Gameweek 10

Great result against a very good side. Thought we controlled the match pretty well.

The main thing holding Welveck back today was the lack of support ah key moments, he's put in a great shift.

Aye, love me a bit of Welbeck. Was going for a jinx.

Almost impressive how Conte has turned a team with Son and Kane into one so utterly dull to watch.

Take it you didn't watch them under Mourinho.

Spurs on course for 80 point + season.

Not quite sure how much better they should be doing.

I’m convinced this is unsustainable. Eventually these narrow wins will turn to draws and draws to losses.

Conte's Inter played exactly the same way and they won the league. If Conte learns to rotate and not play the same first XI for every PL and CL match I think they have a strong chance of finishing second (admittedly partly due to Liverpool and Chelsea being weaker than in previous seasons).

How’s about being less shit in the Champion’s League?

They haven't been great in that but beat Frankfurt and Sporting clube at home and they should make knock outs. Quarter finals would be decent from them as they aren't beating any of Barca, Real Madrid, Man. City or Bayern Munich over two legs so will need luck with draw to get any further.

I get the boring comments but it's not like they're playing this way and stuck in 7th-8th, they're comfortably top 4 again.

Richarlison was terrible today, could have cost Spurs several times.

Brighton did everything right apart from the last 5%.

I dunno. I think Spurs fans have every right to be unhappy about shit on a stick football, irrespective of results.

And neutrals will obviously have a moan, after sitting through 90 minutes of that shite.

I thought it was a decent game but then I always like watching Brighton play. Spurs were also involved v the humdinger early season at Chelsea and had their annual implosion at Arsenal. They also scored six v Leicester just the other week.

No Spurs fan on here will be complaining while they remain top 4. They were all complaining under Nuno and Mourinho because they were playing boring football and stuck down in 7th/8th, surely that's the difference?

Spurs fans are going to be praying for yet another season that Kane stays fit the whole way. They lose him for an extended period and they’re fecked. Their XI is filled with loads of bang average players and they look very labored and stake in attack.

Spurs look better side with Bissouma in my opinion, however definitely still lack creativity in the middle and some competition for Kane too

Brighton have been great to watch this season. Spurs the exact opposite. After spending all that money and signing all the players Conte wanted it’s not a big ask to expect them to play with more ambition. The Leicester game was weird. They were dominated by a poor Leicester team until the Son show at the end.

I don’t really know - or care - what the Spurs fans on here think. Just answering your question about why they might be getting stick despite a decent haul of points so far. Obviously such a craven performance in the NL derby will be a factor too.

Can I play the mitigation of my team being managed by Steven Gerrard yet?

Spurs are like Barca 2008-12 compared to what my own team is churning out every week!

This is what conte does though.
Should anyone be surprised?
I watched it on and off whilst cooking and Brighton were by and large the better team from what I witnessed just lacked a bit in the final third.
How spurs are playing now and providing Kane and Son stay fit they’ll make top 4 but as a “system” it’s a little underwhelming- but that was always going to be the case with conte in charge.

Just watching the Chelsea highlights on MOTD, seems Kepa is back in favour and starting many games without much drama.

Missed the Mendy injury unless I did him a disservice and he suffered a dislocated shoulder from that West Ham assassin. :D

I'll be saying it all season if we continue getting this amount of points
What's the point in getting top 4, playing shite football, with a manager that is crap in the CL
