Premier League Gameweek 10

Is it wrong for me to dislike arsenal more than Liverpool? Can't stand them since the early 00's. Even this iteration of players, can't stand the sight of most of them for some odd reason.

It's justified, but then you see this guy and I don't think it's possible to think this way.

Arsenal were better the first 25 mins or so. The game has evened a bit since then. Liverpool have looked good the last 5-7 mins.
First 10 mins at best

Sorry?? If it’s between arsenal and city for league then I’m all for arsenal. No one els is even close! Could argue spurs but there style of play will prevent them from getting anywhere close.

Think the only time Nunez has been onside in the entire game was when he scored. Even then he started the move off by being 3-5 yards offside.

Wasn't he off when the ball was floated and Gabriel had to play it given he was close by...

Surprised that wasn't looked at on VAR.

Diaz did very well, really he's the only interesting thing about Liverpool these days with them all being old men and out of form.

I'm fairly certain that there's stats out there that show Arsenal with a higher net spend than even Real Madrid over large parts of the last decade. This Arsenal don't spend myth is quite something.
Every big club in Europe has spent more than Real Madrid and their astounding team building and longetivity. You couldnt pick a worse example. Their squad (and success) allowed them to spend it all on infrastructure.

Diaz injured, massive blow for Liverpool that.

Their attacks will go back to being static so Arsenal need to up the tempo in second half.

Not wrong but unusual since Arse have been a joke for over a decade.

I'd only want Arsenal to win it if was between them and Liverpool... and then only grudgingly

Arsenal havent played like that all season and it doesn’t look like it suits them to be honest
Exactly and this is why they won’t win the league. It’s all well and good playing well controlling possession but in games like this and when they play city they will not have a plan b

That is expected though. We beat Liverpool with less possession at home you’re best off letting them have the ball
Yeah but Arsenal were supposed to be a team that should dominate possession at home or something like that. At least that was said about us against them

City will tear their defence apart

well it can't remind me of when we don't let in a goal, can it?
Just wondered why always so negative about United?

I'm sure most fans have things they disagree with... club, owners, managers, players... I definitely do.

But I balance it out with the positive and I definitely don't slag off my club (regularly) when they're not even playing.

Arsenal give it away a hell of a lot in midfield. OK there are worse places to do it but still....

As much as I don’t like arsenal, I dislike city and Liverpool a bit more I think. City are just arrogant and think they can win everything so if anyone has the slightest of chances to stop them then I’m backing them.

Arsenal press narrow and hard in a way that is not necessarily sustainable. Saka, Martinelli and Jesus' combination of acceleration makes it easier for them to cover forward spaces, but once you pass that initial press, you can cut through them.
They also have strong pressing periods during games, before they start to tire out. They can be gotten by a team will to stretch the pitch. Liverpool also playing with narrow actually suits them.

I am impressed by how far Arsenal have got - but they are levels behind City

Of course they won’t. The teams they’ve beaten (spurs aside) will likely end up in the bottom half of the table. They have a good chance of top 4 if they continue throughout the season but they are in no way close to winning the league. They’re not even near the level Liverpool we’re at to compete with city.

Thiago is taking on Arsenal’s midfield 3 solo and winning

Maybe because I don't always wear red-tinted glasses but it's interesting how no one ever picks up the many many posts where I praise the team - and players others regularly slag off. even during the brighton game, I was saying I could see things that looked much better than the last two years (admittedly I didn't have much good to say against Brentford, but who did?)

It's not, never has been.
