Premier League Gameweek 10

Brighton deserve a point but Pool will feel really harshly done by. The VAR offside against Salah and that penalty for Welbeck is never a penalty in real time.

I have to say that if VAR was around during the SAF years, we'd have had a ton of goals overturned.

Even bigger incentive for Spurs to beat Chelsea tomorrow - could go 2 points clear at the top of the table.

I dare say there's not one United fan on this forum that isn't wishing you well overall now!!!

Well..you or Chelsea. We don't care which!

GIF anybody? turned it off to watch f1 qualifying then saw the result

Brad Firedel claming it was soft and Liverpool were comfortable..

how many injuries is that for Liverpool?
Milner, Van Djik, Keita, Henderson, Gomez

Anyone else

Great result for us, a nice draw between Chelsea and Spurs and win our two in hand and we are back in it.

I do think VAR is a joke though, why are we always seeing these tiny little lines been drawn for offside goals. The offside rule was brought in to stop poaching in the opposition box, if you have to draw lines it’s not clear to the human eye and therefore not clear and obvious. Every goal in every game gets checked, it’s tedious.

Does Peter Walton add anything to the refereeing analysis? He’s absolutely useless and wrong the majority of the time. Stealing a living.

I mute him everytime he comes on. Adds absolutely nothing versus what my eyes can already see. Pointless.

Love watching Crouchie spitting feathers after a game they haven't won

Peter Walton chatting absolute tripe.

Let's leave the (incorrect) decision to the officials on the field. Basically saying VAR shouldn't get involved.

Erm, what's the point of VAR then.

It's a penalty but it apparently should be overlooked. My word the commentators are speaking sheer idiocy.

Do you trust your side to beat southampton ?
Not right now, Southampton are in great form so it won't be easy. We certainly can do it if we play our best but we are so inconsistent.

Rodri+Gundogan midfield with Mahrez, Stones and Mendy also in XI... Genuinely wouldn't surprise me if it's another 0-0 / 1-1 draw for City.

It is a totally pointless feature.

Although didn't he say it wasn't a pen just before it was going to be given?

LiVARpool strikes again. Can’t believe how much goes our way.
I like to post with a balanced head, so the Salah offside should have been given as I feel a little toenail being offside is too much. However, you can’t seriously be complaining about the pen and Mane offside, or you’re simply wumming. Also, the amount of decisions you’ve been getting since the Roma semi-final with TAA’s goal line save have been disproportionately ridiculous, so this is just balance.

If its us you wont have to deal with the whole mourinho proves united wrong fallout...

Three correct decisions go against Liverpool courtesy of VAR. Brace for the fallout (and maybe a letter or two).

In old days they could influence refs through the media.
Now it's all off VAR he can say what he wants and is absolutely banged to rights.

Think Chelsea have a very decent chance of winning it this year. They have brilliant squad depth and Liverpool's injuries cannot be underestimated. I thought City were favourites before the season and while they surely will improve, their offensive output hasn't been great thus far.

Yeah. And he was completely wrong

I think he just flips a coin to decide whether he agrees with the ref’s call or not. And he’s usually wrong.

That is true.
And we can just moan about you spending 200m in one window as an oil club. Perfect :)

It's so key to see the angles isn't it.
First glance it just looked like a slight skim.
Best angle showed he'd literally swiped the hell out of Welbeck's foot! Mad defending.

Hahaha, never a penalty in real time. You can kick someone's foot so long as you don't use the VAR system to check.

Only Liverpool can have every decision called correctly and still cry about it.

So Brighton could have taken points off United or Chelsea as well, but in the end took them off Liverpool instead. I like it!

Owen 1 & 2 think it wasn't a penalty because no one saw it in real time. I don't know what to say....

If the ref doesnt see it in real tine then its not a pen is a new one alright.
Almost as if thats the reason VAR is here in the first place..

In fairness Klopp admitting all of the decisions were correct. But bitterly still fuming with the interviewer. Haha.

Oh but Hendo says the Brighton lot said it wasn't a pen. What?

Perfect start to my day. Just woke to watch Brighton equalize. Well deserved. F off Loserfool.

My line of thought too. Was going to put a good sum on Liverpool to win the PL, but that back line has become a mess. They'll still score enough to be right up there, but Chelsea have such crazy depth I think they'll challenge based off of that alone in such a compressed season.

City I wrote off once they got rid of Silva and Sane - alongside Aguero being permanently injured their front line isn't that good. Peps replacement off the players he inherited have all largely been worse.

So because something happens quickly it's suddenly not a penalty?
