Premier League Fixtures 2024/25

With the exception of Jose's first couple of seasons we have been exceptionally poor starters in most recent years. It would be nice not to be playing catch up from the get-go this time around.

Whys it an issue if it's the very first game?

Weekend games are just better imo. I don’t particularly want to go and watch football on a Friday night, and also for me I’ll have to take the afternoon off work so I can go to the game, and I’d rather not use my holiday allowance when the game could just be on the weekend instead.

Decent to play Liverpool early under Slot. If he's gonna be good with them it might take some time.

Full round of fixtures on FA Cup final weekend – but no games on Saturday, 17 May, when the final is played.

Not sure I like that.

During Fergusons time when the fixtures came out I'd always check the last home fixture first to see who United could likely be picking up the Premier League title against. Those were the days...

We are Either the first or last game of the opening weekend. FA love putting pressure and on us and making us a spectacle for everyone to tune into

It has nothing to do with the FA.

And you're always on telly because you have the most fans, not because the Premier League "love putting pressure on you". If they wanted to put pressure on you, you'd be away to Arsenal, not home to Fulham.

Loosen that tin foil hat my friend!

I agree. Better to play them while there still trying to find their feet and take in his instructions.

Chelsea starting with another tough game. Liverpool last year, city this year

Another early-season loss to Brighton incoming... conjuring up a woeful performance

Every team will play each other at home and away and the team with the most points at the end of the season will be champions.

Tbh we were closer to beating arsenal away than fulham at home last season . We seem to play better against the big 6, feel like we was absolutely robbed at your ground last season aswell.

If the old regime were still in charge, you know we’d be panic signing Modric and Batistuta after that Liverpool game.

Every year bar one since 2015 we've had a "big six" side in the first two games.

I remember the days when I use to look straight at the last 5 fixtures to see if we had an easy title run in. Good times !

I'll be going to the Spurs match in September. Safe to say that it will be on either Sunday or Monday because of Europa? How long until we'll know?
