Premier League Festive Season

Just read that if Chelsea lose today they will have lost 40% of their league games this season. They’ll be fourth still.
Because the 6 teams below them seem to be playing a collective game of ‘top 4 is lava’.

How the feck is he not getting booked for that. He clearly left his foot in with intent.

Luiz looking like he’s punting a ball away in the NFL with how high he got his foot up.....but no call from the ref for a high foot

Chelsea are woeful. How are these fourth? Is everyone else really that bad.
Yes everyone has been shocking. If they lose this it’s 8 defeats in 20 league games and 4th with that is unbelievable

Having watched the 1st half of Arsenal v Chelsea it looks like Arteta has got reaction out of Arsenal. More compact and organised than I have seen them for a long time and each and every player is working their socks off, even David Luiz looks decent.

If Arsenal bring a simliar performance to Wednesdays game it will be a very tricky encounter for United.

Arteta only needed 1 week to implement his idea But Ole needs a season and more players to implement his style.

I thought Ole did implement his style, hence the contract.

We'll know more about Arteta's style in the coming months. As it is it's work in progress.

Oooh a bit of a fight....

What happened there? Only caught a bit of it, looked like the arsenal player went for a bit of a punch while on the ground?

Does he have one yet? I think Soljskaer is using this season to develop the finer details of his own style beyond the generic idea of fast counter attacking using quick players running in from wide. He doesn't have much experience and he hasn't had such a talented group of players before, so it's somewhat understandable.

Klopp, Pottechino and Guardiola all took over a season to fully implement their style of play and get the players they needed, but clearly genius manager Arteta managed to do exactly the same in 4 training sessions, utterly showing them all up as the frauds they are.

Its definitely not just a temporary new manager boost to a bunch of low confidence players who will revert to type within a month or two

The key word here is fully. They all came in with well established styles of play and everyone knew beforehand what to expect when their teams eventually started functioning well. Obviously it takes time to teach the existing players that plus to get the right players in. I don't quite know what Soljskaer's style of play is. And none of us have any idea what Arteta's style really is. We're just assuming that it's going to be heavily inspired by Guardiola's.

Anyone think the Blades can get a result today? If we do, think I’ll be spending the night in Manchester

A lot of teams are in the hunt for 4th place. I wouldn't say anything is falling into place just yet.
Im not worried about Sheffield and wolves. They won’t make top 4 even if they both win their next 5 games. Personally I think we are better than both Chelsea and Tottenham. We also have the transfer window to strengthen our path.

Bit of naive to take off Tomori when you dont know if Rudiger can continue.

Looking forward to AFTV hyping up Arteta as the second coming and then watch it all come crashing down
