Still missed the target with it though.
He’ll be the same effort wise I’ve no doubt but he’ll do some good things there.
Didn't look like any Villa player congratulated Rashford for the free kick , Watkins certainly didn't.

I don't need to. Technique and footballing ability don't grow on trees or come with hard work. You either have it or you don't.
Consistency, finishing and decision making are the elements that can be worked on, to an extent. But if your first touch and overall technique are shit at 22, they will be shit at 26. Or 36 for that matter.
I don't need to have seen Marmoush at 21 to know that he's a much better footballer than Hojlund will ever be.

I hope villa feel the same but I disagree. Lacked urgency until the last 5 minutes where we had a great take on. Until then, he lacked movement, took too long on the ball and struggled in any kind of link up

Good free kick and a great run at the end from Rashford. Asensio also looked really dangerous.
Watched that second half, Rashford shouldn't be on corners. Almost scored from a freekick that hit the cross bar and led to their equalizer on the rebound, and looked dangerous with his cut backs. Switched flanks in between and had a very tempting low cross across goal that should have been scored if Asensio wasn't offside. Had a mazy dribble towards the end of the game that almost led to another goal. Ran into players and missed passes/crosses, too, but a very solid performance against a low block side.
I reckon he'll look even better when there's space behind the defence to run into.
