Television Power

I'm enjoying this. Not a classic show but very enjoyable.

This clip cracks me up every time.

i was watching this only because of Lela Loren's sex scenes... she is something else.

Stopped watching long time ago though, terrible tv drama in general.

Yup, finally got what he deserved. How dumb can Tariq be though :wenger: ? I'm sure the young actor must not enjoy this role.
I find Tariq really annoying. Wish he'd been taken care off in the last episode or two itself. He's perpetually making stupid choices.

Got to be one the best show on TV at the moment aside from Thrones. Has its moments of sketchy writing but overall very good show to watch.

He's had a few roles playing an unruly teenage kid in 4/5 shows & movies, I think he's just got the face for it.

He should have been the one to take a hot one.

The show isn't Pulitzer material but it's fun entertainment. Makes for nice watching with Twitter in real time.

That makes sense, it keeps getting mentioned in the "What shows to watch" thread so I started it … international break = series 3

What do you think of it so far? I really like it, think it's entertaining and that's all I want in a TV show.

Not sure I can stand a whole new season of Tariq being alive.
Really wish it was him instead of Raina. Just so unbelievably annoying.

Anyway a good finale. Can't wait for next season.

Series 3 ended with some pretty strange decisions from everyone.

It seemed that everyone that wanted to "get on with things" was continually dragging people with opposing ideas along with them against their will – people would almost certainly ultimately hamper their attempts to "get on with things" in the long run??? Weird move in this game.

A bit too many things fell into place to be believable in the end one way or the other!

Then Series 4 starts with the Fed just about to dump the murder weapon when he gets a phone call (that's gonna get planted) / Tariq insisting on continuing the Tariq the annoying twat role / and Dre still insisting on fearing one pathetic lisping gangster rather than show loyalty to the guy that has crushed whole empires right in front of his eyes

Suppose I'll keep watching because I'm invested but don't expect me to enjoy this crap

Just started binge watching this and i'm a couple of episodes into season 2 so I've not read the whole thread yet. Enjoying it so far, it's well shot and acted for the most part though the script can be a little hammy at times. I'm interested in seeing where it's going to go now that 50 is out and Angie is exposed.

Also, I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm tiring of the constant sex scenes. I mean, i love me some swinging titties as much as the next man but the scenes in this show are just gratuitous imo, you're guaranteed an over-long hump-session every episode regardless of whether it even fits into the narrative or not, and then when they're 'spent' the females just sit there baps out while the camera leers at them - does this continue throughout the seasons?

I feel like the director is basically me when i was 15. Tasha and Angela are  though tbf

It definitely overdoes it with sex scenes, find myself hitting fast-forward a lot when they're on. I guess it keeps certain people invested in the show.

My wife often falls asleep during these types of show but she'll occasionally stir and look up at the tv.
I'm sure she think's I've been watching porn every night for the past week while she sleeps :nervous:

It's pretty much the MO of the "starz" production, I think every show I've seen by them (spartacus, black sails) has the same thing, lots of beautiful women and plenty of sex  It's alright if you're by yourself by yeah can get a bit awkward if you're watching with others.

Tariq in being a cnut shocker.

Feels like something big is about to go down this season, i'm thinking that Angela gets found out or she turns dirty.

I think Dre gets shot down and Tariq or Tasha go to jail. That's based completely on my guessing, no spoilers here.

I don't think anything will happen to Ghost's immediate family, the councilman guy (Larenz Tate) seems to have a lot of influence and is relying on Ghost having a positive rep, if something does go down, i'm sure he'll trade a favour or two with Ghost - which long term will implicate him in more dodgy dealings.
I can see the councilman being the next bad guy after Dre goes. (if he goes)

I'm not sure what Kanan's motivation in all of this is, outside of gunning for Dre, he's still unlikely to be satisfied being second fiddle to Tommy & Ghost.

There's a lot of loose-ends which is why I think (hope) it's going to be a season full of drama and ridiculous storylines

I was saying to my sister that I can see him being killed off, she reckons it’ll be towards the end of the season

Latest episode was good but it’s difficult to see where the season is going as there’s too many things going on at once; too many characters digging deeper holes for themselves etc.

It's following a bit of a similar formula in that the odds are massively stacked against Ghost and Tommy, only for them to overcome all obstacles in the final few episodes. I really enjoy this show but sometimes the writing is a bit sketchy.

Keenan v Ghost / Tommy is reaching Thor versus Loki levels of parody.
50 cent acting like its some grand scheme, it's the second time he's tried this against the same two people!

His acting is also so poor and cringeworthy. There was a scene in the latest episode where he said something to stir Tommy and create some disharmony with Ghost, and you see him leaving with an evil grin on his face. Almost like watching a fecking cartoon.

 I think that's part of 50s character, though. He offers comic relief despite being a shady, backstabber.

Sometimes he's like the worst actor I've ever seen, then he does something really good. It's strange, you can just see he's inexperienced.

Ghost seems weak this series. He needs to step up

He is weak this series, constantly losing the plot.
I definitely think he may end up coming clean on the whole thing, potentially throwing Tommy and everyone else under the bus in order to get immunity via Angey. What you think?
