Looking at it again in the cold light of day (I don't often do this) I notice a few new things; how utterly drained the WBA players look in the last quarter of the game. How well Evans defended. How high up the pitch Smalling came. How much roaring Pulis did. Blind did great and so did Herrera prior to the peno at the end. I think yes there were a few opportunities to go more hell for leather than we did, but they were rarities. Could have scored 4; on the other hand the Berahino chance was gilt-edged. You can imagine the inquests if that went in. Schweini and Carrick played very well indeed, as did Rooney. Jones didn't seem all that much called upon.
