Someone who’s about to lose their career due to injury is probably going to believe irrational things. I wouldn’t blame him for thinking we were at fault, it’s probably incredibly hard to accept as a footballer that your body is working against you. I don’t think he believes that anymore as well.

But also Fergie completely threw him under the bus in his second biography. Saying Hargreaves didn’t try hard enough to overcome his injury.
