I hope Roy Keane and Alex Ferguson have barged into the dressing room and absolutely spitroast the team. Every single one of them should be made to walk back to Manchester tonight!
13% voted for Fellaini on the Caf MotM, and I think I agree.
I dont think Herrera brings anything to the game. I havent seen him have a stand out performance in the premier any time he has been on, for a long time.Jose on new contract. Mata, new contract. Sanchez here. The dynamic might not be all that great with with the hip dabbin' crowd, Pogba and Lingard. There I would suspect, is some of your problem. Maybe also Marouane on his way out. Jones, poor devil had a shocker. Pogba looked like he was in a sulk. To be fair, Spurs played really well. This is a critical moment, let's see how Jose handles it. I think there was a tactical mistake, which in fairness some in here (can't remember who, but three or four posters) observed, that for this game, we needed midfield strength. Herrera should have been on. Shaw, too. Rojo over Jones, but you can't see the future. Their goals were good, but kind of weird, too, so nothing to be too downhearted about. Just concentrate your minds on Stamford Bridge.
It happens. We conceded after 10 seconds and never recovered from that. I think that the team that he put out didn't click and probably wasn't the right one against Spurs. We need to brush it off and move on to Huddersfield. That needs to be a win. You can lose a match but you need to win the next one. It's the manner of the defeat and the performance that is unacceptable.
Well played Spurs, Jose don't talk crap in the post match interview, we were awful, end of.
I picked Smalling. He saved a few very dangerous situations. Matic was heroic but it looked like Custers last stand. Jesus, but Paul Pogba can be lazy and cowardly by times.Pick a MOTM out of that...
Fair enough, thanks.@PoTMS - In the spirit of Roy Keane I've removed the infraction. Let's move on.
Again, you keep saying Mourinho can't do stuff so tell me who can and who you would bring in to do the job that you clearly think he is incapable of?On the contrary, I support Mourinho. But I'm tired of excuses blaming tactics, formation, team selections etc.
Mourinho can't get us playing fluid attacking football with great pressing and defending at the same time. If you think we can achieve that anytime soon, I'll keep waiting here for you instead.
Fellaini currently 14% of the votes for man of the match
that's cheered me up a fraction that has
It looks like we are not drilled to any combinations upfront.I feel like we win some games because we have superior players to other lower place teams. I don’t think we have any kind of system which improves the players we have.
Lukaku, Martial and Pogba being the three players who IMO could be SO much better.
He is a decent player. A lot of the performances tonight were as a result of overload, greater committment by Spurs. Three would have held the ground better and Herrera wins the ball well in these situations, has good distribution and is good going forward. On another note, anyone hear what happened with Fellaini?I dont think Herrera brings anything to the game. I havent seen him have a stand out performance in the premier any time he has been on, for a long time.
Tonight was not down to Mourinho. The gameplan was thrown out the window after 10 seconds. He tried to change it, the players were atrocious.
First three right. Second two you are wrong. But for those two in particular it could have been very embarrassing.Young, Pogba, Lukaku, Smalling and Matic were fvcking awful tonight.
While i agree with that, i think today was more of a placement and personnel issue. A rookie mistakes and very naive at that is to give the middle away but not play on the counter. It's almost impossible to set the way we were and expect either control or ball retention. At the coach academy over here ( just began my official studies), they call this the Bird Underground ( weird, i know). It boils down to you having the team suitable for one style and then playing another.Offensively our players dont look like they are executing a game plan and if they are, they arent doing a good job at it and this isnt the first time this has come up this season. Tossing Sanchez in the mix doesnt really help as the problem is deeper than that.
Thats the kind of poison you do not fecking want in your dressing room. Its also a bad sign in that Pogba was relishing his own hype just a little too much. We may come back from this though, hopefully. Mou has a tricky job on handA loss is not disaster. But I'm really worry for Pogba's attitude. Seems the rumors about him envy with Sanchez's salary reasonable. How the heck Man Utd let a player get such a high wage? You could give him about 10 mil pounds and reduce the wage to prevent this posibility from happening. Breaking the salary structure is really bad strategy.
Playing Young at left back and Pogba in a midfield 2 were our downfall.
Nice one, yeah. Missed my opp.Looks like I wasn't alone in a Fellaini protest vote for motm.
