For the first time in so many years i had that feeling that even with the score at 0-0 or when we were 1-0 up that if someone like Lukaku was given a chance he would score and that we would go on to win.

Fecking tripe, had us on the back foot for a lot of the game and we were luckily we didn't concede. The 4-0 is papering over the cracks.. sack mou and sell Martial
Bite you feckers! For the first time in what feels like ages we're watching a proper united side
Hey, it took guts to achieve that tripe. True, it takes time to digest that we may be back. But i can tell you I had a very visceral reaction, punching the air after each goal. The appendix of history will show that today was the confirmation that Mourinho is on to something special. And at the end of all this, the reaction of jealous onlookers will be a gas to behold.

You almost had me!!!!

First up: Jones was absolutely faultless for the second game running. Easily my MoM. Bit of a shock but I've always preferred him to Smalling -- even his mistakes are funnier!

We looked good in patches but it took the bringing on of Martial (have to admit I am not his greatest fan) to spark the team into real life. No idea why TV made Miki the man of the match, I thought he was poor until the final 15 minutes with lots of misplaced passes and easily dispossessed.

Generally, we never looked like conceding a goal or dropping points but I'd say it was lucky we got that goal just before half time otherwise we may have lost confidence and gone into defensive mode. Lukaku looks as if he is going to be one of those forwards who we get ready to criticise for not doing enough, then he shuts us all up for doing the main thing he's paid to do. The defense looks solid, although I still worry that Valencia will get found out by top top teams but wow, Chelsea must be kicking themselves for selling us Matic. Total composure, rarely makes a bad choice and when he does get caught, he fouls in in places where we are unlikely to be punished. I was a bit disappointed with Rashford; he still makes the wrong choice more often than the right one and he can't go on missing those one-on-ones. But overall, it was a bit like the old days where we blitz opponents with short deadly bursts: was it three in four minutes? very Fergie like. There will be bigger tests ahead, particularly when we go behind (which, we are boudn to do at some stage) but so far, no one could ask for much more

If only we could teach / encourage Martial to have Rashford's work rate and Rashford to have Martial's coolness in front of goal, we would have two phenomenal strikers to partner Lukaku.

Absolutely amazing. It's fantastic what having someone like Lukaku up front can do for those around them. We look amazing.

My ONE concern is I don't really rate Bailly as much as some of you do. I hope he changes my opinion.

"Sack Mou, sell Martial" gave it away mate. No need for white text after that :)

Pogbas finish was top class, not easy from that angle to clip it so delicately. Can't recall who against but I'm sure he scored another one very similar to that last season.

I agreed.new type of goal in Pogba's career.I haven't seen him scoring goal like this in the pass.I know Di Maria very good at scoring this type of goal

It seems we've found the factor whose absence last season was our undoing- the ability to be a constant scoring threat. Last season this match would've most likely ended a very nervy 1-0 or a shitted away 1-1.

Phil Jones MOTM for me, followed closely by Pogboom.

If there's a weak link right now, I think it's Blind at LB. Unlike Valencia he doesn't have the speed or strength to compensate for the occasional poor judgment. Would rather see Shaw given a run.

Lukaku may as well have not been on the pitch for the first 80min, then scores easily. Reminded me of old-school Ronaldo (Brazilian).

Overall, we really couldn't have dreamt of a better start over 2 matches. It's kinda shocking actually.

While the 3rd and 4th goal didn't mean much to the result there's a lot to be said for the belief that scoring those goals gives teams. It's something Spurs have done very well the last couple of seasons.

Some points from the West Ham game were reinforced. We're a strong counter attacking team and we have the potential to be a big threat in set pieces. Our ability to break down defenses if we don't enjoy those situations remains in question.

Not sure why some seem a bit hung up that it took us until 80th minute to put the game to bed. In my opinion that was great game management, we were in total control. Fergies career was virtually defined by goals 80 minutes onwards and today was as close to a perfect away performance as you are likely to see.

Five goals in the 80th+ minute so far this season. Brilliant to see and long may it continue. We didn't finish teams off enough last season, nor any season post-Ferguson.

Yep, people seem to forget a game is 90+ mins.

Tottenham have been strong the last couple of years for getting late goals, and we always did it.

What's more promising is not only late goals but quick fire back to back late goals!

Of course it was, just wanted to make him happy, he was begging for someone to bite.

On the other hand, I wouldn't be that surprised to have someone asking for sack after 4-0.:D

Hopefully we're back to the kind of "we only won by xxx" type super greedy posts here on in! Rather than crying about drawing to some chumps at home. Every other game.

The 80 minute thing is not an issue. The possible issue - too early to call - is that we struggle to create chances until the opposition have nothing to lose and open up the game.

Fellaini started off the move for the second goal. After that second goal we relaxed and moved up a gear. Fellaini was fundamental to todays win. Jose is no mug and clearly sees a role for him.

I think Mourinho probably sense our midfield's fragility after 1st half.

We constantly getting pressed by our opponent for the 1st 20min 2nd half thus Mou introduce Feleini probably switch to 433.

And Mou bring in Hererra in the last 5min probably want to access his form.

I won't be surprised if Mourinho start his next game as 433 with Feleini or Hererra starting.

No-one will want to face us now, hopefully we get a few big wins at home now to make OT the daunting place it was for opponents a few years back.

Late to the party today but all I can say again is wow.

There I was nervous at 1-0, hoping we can hold it out... Then Lukaku makes it 2 and I start celebrating as that's the game wrapped up.

Of course then the team proceeds to blow me away just like the first game.

Incredible stuff, and genuinely enjoyable to watch. Of course we won't win 4-0 every week, but honestly it feels like anything less than 4-0 will be a disappointing result right now . Leicester up next, and that's a step up from the opposition we've faced so far. In fairness we were helped today by Swansea's poor finishing so we definitely can improve and will probably need to do well against Leicester. But I can't honestly ask for anymore from the team so far otherwise and slowly but surely the confidence is being built. OT will be really upbeat.

We have a pretty good start fixture-wise and really just need to chalk up the wins against the so called seller teams. I am happy if we win them all 1-0, but scoring 4 goals 2 games in a row is so much much better than I expected this early on. Jose thank you for spoiling us

Saw on the Beeb that it's our best start in 110 years
Was nervous for most of the game (the last few years did that!) but that last 3 goal spell was amazing:D
Onwards and upwards lads.

Ruthless efficiency. Quite a change from last season.

Very happy. Was tougher than last week, but still managed to smash them.

Played pretty well all game. Another day Swansea could have come back at us second half, but they never really got the clear chance and we killed them off late. Delighted with our finishing but definitely struggling to break teams down... Still, if we can ride this wave for a few more matches the confidence will keep rising and we'll start to really click.

Couldn't be happier. Martial deserves a start.

They were defensively sound, hard working and followed the managers tactics. We have faced this before! This time it was different. We were disciplined and played with self belief. This team plays like they will break down the wall eventually. No it's not pretty and for 80 minutes there were numerous waves of attack breaking down. But they just stuck at it and sooner or later they couldn't sustain the pressure and the floodgates opened. Hallelujah!

Just caught some highlights and Paul's goal was e cracker.
Another win can only breed confidence so hopefully onwards and upwards
