Swansea City 0:4 Manchester United

Post-match discussion

This is a proper Jose Mourinho team now. Lethal in attack, composed in midfield and very solid at the back. Our squad depth is good too. All the players seem to have a better understanding with each other.

Wow good last few mins to save the day just as they started to look more in the game. Fully deserved if slightly flattering. Swans battled hard.

4-0

Thats more like it, tougher tests to come, can only beat whats infront of you. So we take it and move on. 2 down 5 to go. Bring on the foxes.

Mkhi Pogs Jones Bailly and special mention for Tony M. Deserves a start now.

On another day, last season even - we start getting nervous, Swansea hit us with a sucker punch and the game ends 1-1.

Lukaku's goal gave us so much more breathing space and chance for the players to be free and express themselves. That second goal was crucial and underrated. That's what he was bought for

We still look weak down the left but can't complain with two clean sheets and four goals each. Lets hope this continues :)

Steady on. One thing Jose has changed is that we're more prepared to give up possession and play deeper, hoping to catch teams out on the counter. We did this last season but were unfortunately a bit shit at doing that transition. Maybe that's what 2 years of Van Gaal does to you.

Great to see a counter attacking United side again.

League wise, still early days yet.

Swans fought very hard at the beginning but we were good enough to withstand them and take control. Baily's goal cannot arrive at a better time. The team looks like SAF side

Very pleased. Swansea played well in what they were trying to do but we kept at it and they rarely looked a threat.

Picked up the pressure at the end of the half to snatch the lead.

Subs made a difference and 3 quick goals.

Very happy

It is, but not many teams start a season by scoring 8 goals in two games.

Jose might be in trouble with his post-match comments: "Mr. Moss had certain criteria for the Swansea players and bookings", when asked about the Pogba possible sending off. What he says isn't wrong, but watch those cretins at the FA swoop on this.

The highest praise I can give to this team is that it's starting to look like a team that Sir Alex himself would have been proud of managing.

Very accomplished performance.

Mata is more of a ball retention mechanism against teams that sit and defend deeply. He will come good, believe me.

Mikhi just going on to show how impactful he can be if his head is in the game!

Felt this game panned out very similar to the West Ham game last week.

Managed to get that first goal just before half time.

Swansea needed to be a bit more adventurous second half, which allowed us more room.

To be fair, we weren't great second half, and didn't really threaten much, until we scored.

Once we got the second goal, the floodgates opened, and just like West Ham, we got a few goals in less than 10 mins.

One of the great things is we are spreading our goal scorers around the pitch...something we so needed to do this season.

A hallmark of all of Jose' great teams. When I think of his Chelsea side around the 09/10 era, I think of goals from Lampard, Essien, Drogba, Anelka, Malouda, Ballack. The list goes on.

Two 4-0 results on the trot. Feel's good. It was difficult at times, credit to Swansea for keeping their shape making it difficult for us to get in behind. But bigger credit to us for adjusting accordingly and going for more goals.

Flattering result but we've missed a ruthlessness for a while now and it looks like it may finally be back.

That performance may not have been a win last season, nevermind a 4-0 win.

Impressive.

Last season would've been a heartbreaking 1-1 at the death.
This season we're capitalising and winning 4-0.
The difference.

Love the raw pace and power. Mata and Rashford vital to tire the opposition and to keep the discipline as the bench players make a huge impact and open up spaces for us to exploit.

Absolutely. The way the game was going until the 79th min I had that feeling where Swansea would be getting a scrappy half chance leading to a goal. The ruthlessness shown was impressive and refreshing to see. Need it to continue on a consistent basis.

Not same good performance as against West Ham but it's still more than enough. Very promising start for a season. Pogba, Mkhi, Martial, Rashford, Matic, Lukaku... Almost only positive performances in first two games. Rashford just isn't clinical enough. But he's still raw.

I thought Swansea was a notch better than WH, and made the game quite difficult before collapsing towards the end.

I'm happy with the four goals, but also with the few chances we conceded. Even if we lost the ball in dangerous areas, gave away some set pieces, it seemed like we had decent control.

It isn't about just scoring goals. Just ask Liverpool.

Liverpool? we have fantastic defenders and defensive depth in our side, which is what Jose prioritizes when building his teams. Liverpool have been making the same mistakes for over a decade, which is why they haven't won a PL title and won't any time soon. When is the last time they had a truly elite centre back pairing?

Looked like United of last season than suddenly we score 3 in 3 minutes to completley kill them off.

We certainly look beter than last season alltough we also started with 9/9 last year so still need to be carefull not to celebrate too quick.

I think we do still need a winter and fullback if we really are going to compete this season.

Also Martial should start ahead of Rashford, he looks much beter atm.

My point is, its way too early to be shouting over the rooftops about winning the league. We've made a good start, but it's still just two games.

I understand the optimism but last season, Chelsea had a bad start and people were crowning Pep and City in September.

Leicester this season will be a test. We have some hard games coming up but I am more encouraged by our finishing, which was our downfall last season.

We just can't score goals. Always defending a one goal lead and panicking in the end, drawing 1-1.........

Wait....that was last season. What a transformation!

This season all depends on if we can get the lead during games where it is really tight and we have been bogged down for a lot of the game. When the other team have to come out and have a go at us thats when we can demolish.
