Don't give a shit about any other game? Was any of those games where other teams could say the same thing? We executed it well, what against Swansea? Lol. That is the same shit we used to hear with moyes, we had a game plan and stuck to it, against small teams like swansea, and we wonder why we went into free fall since fergie retired. Where the champions league games In Manchester are not at old Trafford, but at the council house, that is how bad it's got

So because a bit of so called miss fortune, what swansea took the lead? and United can't recover from this? Against Swansea? We should be eating teams like swansea for breakfast, but no, they have done the double over us. The only game plan van gaal should be sending out, was not execute a Defensive gameplan, but win the game how a United team should be able too, convincingly. And if we can't do that against Swansea, it's going to be tough times for some time

A bit disrespectful to be honest. They've been quite good this year, and they are never going to be easy to beat in front of their home fans.

Swansea have been nothing special, we should be winning these games Comfortable. But reality? This is obvious not vintage United, and that won't happen.

But if we ever want to get back to where we were, which I have no idea when that will happen, we should be beating teams like Swansea. And seeing them do the double over us, is embarrassing. We have let teams like Swansea look better than they are, and United should be doing much better than what we are seeing on show

I don't give a shit about any other game because I've come in the "post match vs Swansea" thread to analyse the game that we, yano, played against Swansea? That has no relevance to any other games we have played because that's for a different debate.

Moyes? Are you kidding?! Under Moyes we didn't have any game plan whatsoever, the whole Moyes era was shrouded with uncertainty of what the hell we were trying to accomplish, poor recollection skills on display.

Swansea like to press with high intensity so we nullified their threat in the first half. We then brought on more offensive players down the sides in Valencia and a Young because Swansea will have tired and as we move the ball across the pitch, we'll create more space and one v one or crossing opportunities. The game was playing exactly as planned until a freak incident, which happens in football. Believe it or not, we lost games under Ferguson to lower opposition as well.

Now if you're going to have an interesting debate, starting raising some intelligent points rather than spouting some nostalgic cliches like "we are Man Utd" "we should be annihilating teams" "it's only Swansea"etc. the club as a whole has changed enormously from two seasons ago, and necessary steps are being made to bring it back to the top of English football. That means that we may experience some undesired results due to transition, but the project of Man Utd isn't based on this season, we are one or two stages in to a dramatic transformation.

Keep up to date with the times. Circumstances are completely different and we shouldn't be battering every team we come across with scintillating football on the basis of "just because." You're going to have a very rough time if you believe otherwise.

What tires teams out? Pace and movement, and van gaals teams do not do that enough, partly the strikers are old. Van gaal has got United set up in a very conservative way, do not lose the first goal, keep it tight and hope we win 1 or 2-0. That is why we do not hurt teams enough, and I think it's a dangerous road to go down when it's crucial we get the first goal.

I think every manager should look to bring a positive approach, and van gaal just is the polar opposite. He will get 3 years, but he is not convincing. I do not think this squad is ready for champions league football. I think we are a good 2 to 3 years off a title challenge, if van gaal is struggling with his teams playing almost one game a week at times, imagine playing champions league football? He has got to bring a different approach to these away games, because it's not working

So you're almost admitting yourself that you understand why he's playing the way he is? Out slow build up and keeping possession means that we are keeping the opposition from attacking our vulnerable back four, and if we've got so much of the ball you've got to fancy that we will score a goal with the individual quality on the field.

It's not an ideal style of play, I totally agree with that and I certainly would not want to endure another season playing this way. It's necessary though, in my opinion. Our squad is hugely imbalanced and there's no guarantee that going out and attacking sides will bring us better results; look at Leicester away.

I know he's playing a slow style of play, because that's what is on display. I don't fancy our individuals because the movement of them is way too pridictable. Rooney Falcao RVP could not worry a child, a bit of a crazy analogy to sum up the forwards, but that is the situation, they are just too old.

Rooney is in his prime a bit, but he lacks world class pace and movement. Apart from di maria to an extent, there is not anyone in that attacking part that will carry the ball, and if the midfield is playing it safe, and the forwards have very little movement, how is the team going to score? And that is why this tactic is making us struggle away from home, no pace and movement is very pedestrian.

United can have all the ball between the defence and the midfield, we got to make teams work for it, possession is not going to tire teams out if they know they are not going to attack them relentlessly, they going to sit there and wait for us to attack them. And teams know our forwards are never going to work their defence, because the movement and pace of our forwards is not there

The difference with playing away from home is that teams like Swansea press with intensity from that start of the match, which then pays dividends in the second half. Even despite our safe, low risk play we still end up conceding at least once, so imagine what that would be like if we attempted to attack and left ourselves exposed, considering you've already admitted our strikers aren't firing in all cylinders.

At the end of the day, we need another good transfer window to complete the squad so that we have one capable of playing expansive football without leaking goals at the back. Currently, we don't have the tools to do that.

The strikers are not firing on all cylinders, I think they are old. I do not think swansea are that good, we are just in the middle of trying to rebuild one of the worst United teams in a long time.

I think we will need more than one transfer window, the summer 2009/13 Transfer model, and appointing moyes has set this club back possibly 3 years. We need new forwards, better wingers and a midfielder, along with 1 or 2 defenders. And if champions league football is not required it's going to take longer and longer.
