Stress? It's a game for men not boys if they cant handle the pressure at the top they shouldn't be playing at the top.

Performance levels of a proffesional footballers exceed that of semi pros by a long way but they train harder so they are more than capable of coping lets ask Keane or Scholes or Giggs if they ever thought "Do you know what gaffa im tired can i have a rest?" No, it never happened, need to stop making excuses for them they need to man up a bit.

Keane, Scholes and Giggs were world-class players who played on Tuesday/Wednesday nights and once on weekends. They too were rotated and what helped the most is that they were THE top dogs on the top team. Their individual and collective talent was far beyond every squad at that time bar maybe Arsenal or Chelsea. Their fitness and talent levels, when a little low due to match accumulation, is equal or better than a lot of the current United team.

The United of this year don't play the "It's only Spurs lads" Tottenham of Fergie year's gone by. City aren't pushovers anymore. Chelsea are champions. Liverpool are ahead of United as are Arsenal.

It's not an excuse the fact that United this year, again, aren't good enough and these players aren't used to playing these high-level matches week in and week out. The man up shit is crap. They are humans and aren't robots and this isn't FIFA/proevo.

Let's ask how Luke Shaw fared after trying to man up. Pogba having to play and then injured his hamstring. Ah feck it, Rojo and Zlatan should be out there because I once saw my mate on a Sunday league play with a wrapped ankle.

Translation: Our attacking play has struggled since SAF and we have struggled to score enough goals consistently.
No matter what was going on or what had to be done under Ferguson he always said to go out and enjoy yourself. With that attitude the chances will come along with goals. Mourinho has disappointed me in his attitude towards our last four games of the season. We had enough big name players to put up a fight regardless of the final.

Should give Ajax some confidence.
Definitely, but that will play right in to our hands. I trust our defense to keep it down to one maybe two goals. It's our attack that has been the worry for us. Against a young and enthusiastic team like Ajax our experience may see us through to a tight win.

Bringing up Scholes and Giggs is especially silly considering how much Ferguson rested them especially late in their careers.

We still have a VanGaal mentality in this squad. Hopefully after some after season reflection and good pre season preparation we can shed our no risk philosophy

Anyone who was expecting anything different from today is on another planet.

Today was all about giving a few people a run out and damage limitation on injuries.

And also i am really struggling to see how bad rooney has become, alright he has been abit crap for a while now but i bet i could play well against him. And i am not in anyway a good football player.

Anyone singing that god-awful "José's playing the way Utd should" song should cut their tongues out.

This better be a means to an end.... brutal football and a manager that looks like someone pisses in his cornflakes daily.

Need to get rid of some serious dead weight in the summer. Rather get beat with youth playing than crocked wage-thiefs and sub-standard millionaires.
I had to wonder why on earth they were singing that. Had to be irony surely? If not then I fear for the future if people think that is the way we should play.

Jose is the embodiment of a no risk stradegy. Why on earth would it change? If anything it's been worse this season.

Here's our competition:

Last 4 league games, goals scored:
MCFC: 13
Arsenal: 10
LFC: 9
MUFC: 2

Now, I want to highlight that in LVG's last 6 games in his first season, we scored 3 goals. 0.5 goals per game. This continued into the following season.

I am a huge fan of Jose, but if the 0.5 goals/game statistic continues into next season, he should be rightfully fired, in 12 months.
And to save his own ass, he may need to sell many of our current attackers, who simply cannot score goals. Perhaps it is the pressure. Perhaps lack of skill. But these attackers were the same attackers who put in a near record low of goals scored last season. And Ibra excepted (who wasn't here last season), they have done a repeat. Miki has also joined the "goal shy" attacker brigade.

I'd look to buy in 2 top class attackers in the Summer and depending on what happens with Ibra next Winter, bring in another attacker (squad player) in January 2018.
I'd look to remove one of our weakest attackers (we have plenty) this Summer (and Rooney) and if the remaining members of the goal shy brigade don't produce anything next season, they should all be removed in next Summer.

A lot of MUFC fans seem to like the goal shy brigade, but I am pretty ruthless. I have no allegiances to these non scoring attackers. They can all leave if they feel the pressure of scoring more than 6 league goals per season is too much for them.

My word Jamie and Souness are talking absolute bollocks. Worst shit I've ever heard.

Redknapp can't wait to mention how much we've spent on players, he never takes into account the ones we've sold though and how much other clubs have spent, funny that.

As for Souness, during half time when he was ranting about the midfield of Fellaini and Tuanzebe and said "This is Man Utd" He seems to forget that our league campaign is pretty much done and we've got a cup final to prepare for next week. He couldn't even be complimentary about the penalty save from Romero.

Since Ibra stopped playing, we have gone into our shell. It's sort of like when LVG faced LCFC and we got battered - we went into our shell.
In any case, this cannot continue for another season. I will be Jose out, if next season, we get a repeat of scoring 1 goal per game, with LVG-esque type football.

Exactly. He just spouts his point of view without taking in consideration all any of those things.

You think we can flick a switch and go from scoring 0.5 goals per game, to scoring 2-3 goals per game (against Ajax)?

I don't think Ibra is an excuse. If anything he was part of the problem. He was played as a target man and if people want to blame people on missed chances then he is the biggest culprit. Top 3 shot accuracy in our team, Mata, Miki followed by Martial.
I understand why he bought Zlatan but it was a mistake. The team wasn't built to incorporate him and we ended up just lumping pointless crosses at him. Our woes go way way beyond just Zlatan being injured. A lot of it is the system that we play.

Sack of turd as it has been recently, we don't look like we could score in a brothel with a bag of gold and a 12 inch dick. Our attack look like a bunch strangers at a dance party awkwardly doing the robot because they don't know any of the routines, shocking stuff. Martial and Mata were very disappointing, I was hoping they'd put in a showing that might avoid us using Lingard in the final.

Tuanzebe's composure and Romero's performance were the only bright spots.

So explain why we can't score for shit again now he's gone?

Because our play was built around a large target man which then meant we could get away with how defensive we had been. Look at all Zlatans goals. Most of them scrappy headers, or bumbled in. Jose now expects Martial or Rashford to try and do something similar when they are completely diffent types of forwards. Felt sorry for every single one of our attackers being tasked with over the top defensive tasks then being expected to perform a miracle by them selves as there is no support.

Again shit. Starting to feel like Moyes is pulling the strings.. Better win the fecking EL..

fecking chill out guys.

It was a pointless game as is sunday, i wanted us to play the u23s and still want us to do that on sunday. It was nice to watch the game wgilst relaxed for a change.

Jose is the embodiment of a no risk stradegy. Why on earth would it change? If anything it's been worse this season.
But his players still pulled out positive results. Our best game this season was 2-0 against Chelsea. Apart from Herrera being stuck to hazard which I wouldnt mind us doing every game, take out the player that makes it happen for them, every player did exactly what's has to be done. We need some of that every game regardless of our position in the league. Mourinho didn't send these players out to play like they have been for the last month. Nothing performances over the last five games with players that are playing for their futures.
I am a million lifetimes away from being a football manager or club executive but this is what I would do on Friday of this week. I have the upmost confidence in Ed and Jose recruiting in the windows, we have the cash and the clout that can take care of most problems, it's our current players that need a reality check
Zlatan: Stay another season as player/mentor, he deserves it and it's a win win.
Rashford: let's concentrate on you're deficiencies and start maturing you in football terms, hold up play especially, the lad will be world class with Ronaldo type training.
Martial & Mhikatarian: sit them down together and say this, we are relying on you to be the attacking impetus for this club. You need to prove it every game and do what we know you are capable of. You will be given the next two seasons to improve this club in league position and trophies. Failure and it's good bye or a really shitty terms on a contract extension.
Herrera: you are captain material but you need to take more games by the scruff and push the team on.
Pogba: just get better, no pressure from the club, just do what you do.
Carrick: another year and coaching role, a good connection between the present and the recent past
Fellaini: one more season lad, cut the hair, try and stop the stupid shit and be happy with what you have. Thin ice my son.
Bailly/Jones/Rojo/Shaw/Valencia/Darmian: We will be signing one CB and one WB, create an understanding together, improve you're distribution from the back and be interchangeable when needed.
Blind: where do you want to play and let's give it a shot in the rotation but be prepared to step in anywhere and improve you're concentration.
De Gea: if you want to leave for Real tell them it will be 70 million and not a penny less, they can afford it and you both want it. We have Romero until the next WC keeper comes up then we will sign them up. Stay and help us and we will pay you you're worth. If not, stop dicking around every season and go. But Romero will be given an even amount of games unless 70 mil is paid. Up to you to force Reals hand or accept our terms
Rooney/Young/Lingard/Smalling: you are immediately up for sale to the highest bidder, no future for you here, please wrap up you're business fast before pre season, the club want no distractions.
I would also say to every player at the younger level: you are all guaranteed two starts or home sub appearances this season. We hold the prerogative to cancel those starts if you have not shown the effort. You will be given one months notice of these starts so you have ample time to study the opposition and work to exploit their weakness, show you're skill and football brain and fecking impress us. The player that excels the most will be included in the next seasons European team or a start in the community shield if we are there, you're choice only if the manager agrees.
A long post but after the last few games I have wanted to shout the head of some people at the club including Mourinho, don't give up. I trust Mourinho to sort it out but the last five games have been unacceptable regardless of injuries.

Did you insert strawberry yogurt rectally. I will have to try that to watch that shite again. I think everyone is just nervous about Wednesday, I know I am. Every crap performance over the last five games just puts that little bit of doubt in my head. We really need Champions League next season. A good showing on Sunday will cheer everyone up.

Lol indeed... Disagree with almost everything in this post.
 one of the most laughable posts I've read in a long time.....

What's so funny about this post? We can't score goals and we had yet a disappointing draw. Obviously there was sarcasm about Bailly playing as a striker but you do realize how disappointing it has been? We weren't exactly playing with youngsters from the academy. We had experienced individuals out there and we still couldn't score and get 3 points.

Our midfield today on paper was Tuanzebe, fellaini, Mata. That is not the midfield for ajax.

Herrera got 20 mins

Carrick got 25 mins

Rashford got 20 mins.

Perfect.

Jose is keeping the core players ticking over with limited match time and once again we miss an injury in a dead-rubber game.

I hope Jose does the same thing for Palace.

Is tiredness such a big issue, really? We've got a CL team squad in terms of it's size and composition, and the teams that struggle with the Europa league are usually ones that aren't used to European football. We are geared towards dealing with 50 plus games a season to the point where it should be routine.

Also, is there really a big benefit of being so defensive in these run of games? It appears we're scared of being hammered and that killing confidence. But couldn't being positive give us a better rythme and form which serves as a basis to build on? I dont know. I hope we pull off the win in the EL final, but some of what's happened over the last month seems unnecessary. Hopefully it wont matter either and we'll get our hands on the trophy.

Yes, we have a big squad - unfortunately, it's mostly dross.

The season has been a mess played in one dimension. But I do have some sympathy for Jose, his team will play 64 games this season and has lost his best striker, midfielder and defender at the most crucial period time.

Since the Swansea game, it has been clear that the season league-wise has been a wipe.

Brilliant  and very true.

I fell asleep half way through the 2nd half and woke up 20mins ago :)

Romero had a great game

Martial looked sluggish

Rooney was really poor

Herrera,Carrick and Rashford got 20mins to keep them ticking over.

No injuries and no loss to a very poor Southampton game. Let's repeat this for the nothing game at home with palace.

I wonder if Jose address OT after the match? I hope so.

Played for U21s of my National Team, and got my foot fecked at the age of 20. Believe me, last thing you want is to play a full-intense match after being knackered. Not only your body fails you, but the brain too. We are very thin on numbers as it is, so trying to have some fun against Southampton would have been a huge gamble. The amount of injuries we have currently begs the question whether Mou and our medical staff are professional enough to manage fitness levels of our players correctly.

Mourinho literally playing FM in these last few matches, "I will pick you and you, not you, yes you ..... That's the team. Done."

Anyway, he seems to be saving himself and his players for the bing EL final. Let's see what he has in store for us.

That's not really true.
Ibra missed some clear chances, but did score plenty, not only 'scrappy headers'. Since then we can't score for shit. We expect from Martial and Rashford to score from presented chances.

Rooney was an embarrassment last night again. Stumbling around the pitch as if he was playing drunk. Spent more time on the floor than on his feet. Hopefully he's played against Palace at home and it's the last time he plays for us. He's an unprofessional "athlete" finished at 31.

I knew his time was up when they announced his testimonial earlier in the season.

As expected, it was dire stuff. Only thing worse than watching an unimportant game, is watching an unimportant game which finishes as a 0-0. Was there any excitement after the penalty (which shouldn't have been) in the opening minutes? Great performance from Romero though.

I've noticed that many MUFC fans are burying their heads in the sand.
The fact that we are now scoring 0.5 goals/game seems quite acceptable to them.
Just a heads up - you won't ever win a league if you score under 1 goal per game and right now, we can't even do that!
These fans can't debate/reason why this is acceptable (because they can't), so they say things like "laughable post", "disagree with everything they wrote", etc.

I'm not saying Jose should be sacked (I am a huge fan), but he needs to address this lack of goals and accept that some of our attackers won't be able to score the goals we need. If he keeps the faith in our current crop of attackers, next season could be his last, with us.

Think he came into the season expecting a lot more from our striking options. Rooney has been woeful, Rashford has been good in spells but wasteful, Martial has been really disappointing and Ibra, has been wasteful as well for all his goals and he would not have been expecting him to get injured. Ibra never gets injured. That is why he wants to sign a couple of strikers. Think some players have settled well into his methods while others haven't. It will be up to Jose if he wants to wait to see if they pick up next season or if he just can't wait.

I'd be pissed off zif I had travelled from Manchester to the south coast for that.
