Because he is streets .. nay worlds ... ahead of you in his ability to analysis a match (as everyone on here knows).
Yet you assume he is never wrong because he is suiting your delusional stand.

Honestly, the word delusional is the most misused and over-used word on any football forum to describe an opponent's point of view. It's like the word of first resort when we see a statement we don't like. All fans do it. It's part of the superiority that fans encase themselves in; content that the rest of the world is wrong and irrational.

Guess what? We're all wrong and irrational - it's called being a fanatic.

The only part that confuses me is the RedCafe praise for Mourinho devising a defensive gameplan intended to neutralize the attacking power of Liverpool. Cause all I have read for the last 18 months is what a mediocre squad Liverpool has. So after spending half a billion on players and a great manager you are satisfied with a plan intended to not let a mediocre team shit on United and solidyfing 7th place. ;)

What a stupid post. Majority on here thought Liverpool would win before the game.

I have seen many comments that said we would win, so you are right, but to contradict that our squad gets labelled as mediocre & average.

Even when you were shit down the years, and I mean proper shit, a point at Anfield was always a good result because you'd inevitably raise your game against us.

No different now really. A point at Anfield will usually be a decent result unless it's a must-win game towards the end of the season (like Juanfield a couple of years ago).

I think everybody is pretty satisfied with most of the performance from the other night up until the final third which let us down. Anyone saying they're happy with every aspect of the performance is lying. But Liverpool certainly didn't take a shit on us. The opposite is more aligned to the truth.

I think it's the style more than the players that is making Liverpool look really good right now. Klopp has built his team and has got them playing a very specific style of football, which is extremely effective when done properly. Liverpool have some great players and some average ones, I would say that on paper they are certainly punching above their weight with their results so far this season. Much like Leicester last season, Liverpool's success seems to be based on an extremely well drilled team of players utilising a system that is hard for other teams to deal with. The average quality of the player then becomes less important

Are you sat on the toilet whilst you're writing that - there seems to be a recurring theme going on in that post.

There's also an over willingness to label Liverpool players as average and mediocre. Lallana and Henderson are the two biggest examples of this. Lallana has been very good for about 9/10 months and Henderson has been up there as one of the league's best midfielders this season. However, some are desperate to label them poor. Particularly Henderson.

Poor post

I think they are mostly average players that play well in Klopp's set up and as a team. There's nothing wrong with that as each top team needs that within the squad but you'll struggle to convince anyone that some of those names will be world beaters. Henderson outside Klopp's system for England was diabolical the other week. Both he and others have improved under Klopp but for me they are mediocre.

The Firmino, Coutinho and Mane are the best you have.

I know this is going to sound pedantic and petty (as I guess it is), but if our players are not rated & mediocre - why were you so happy with a point, surely with the players you have you should be winning?
We are a "mid table" side, Firmino is "slow", Coutinho is a "one trick pony", our midfield is "rubbish" and our defence "shite".

No one is delighted with the point as you guys keep saying. All we have said is given the context of the game, current form and where we currently are with Mourinho, it's a much better point for us away from home than it is for you.

I'll expect to beat you at Old Trafford and anything less would feel like a defeat.

I just think overall we answered some question marks that were hanging over us, while Liverpool created a few question marks over themselves...

This pretty much nails it for me. I was saying to someone before the game that we hadn't see a proper Mourinho performance yet.

From the absolute mess that was our shape versus City to a well drilled performance a few games later shows real progress for me.

Add Martial and a Miki that plays like we know he can to this side and I think we have a nice combination of solid defence and a more dangerous attack. We are going in the right direction for sure.

BTW Herrera rightly received plaudits but I also thought Bailly was again outstanding. He will turn out to be the best business done by any PL club last summer I'd wager.

Absolutely, he looks like a fantastic buy. Especially when you consider how hard a club like City have found it to buy a quality centre back

I thought Matip was very good for us too and continues to impress - not bad for a free transfer.

Why do Liverpool fans keep saying United fans are 'delighted' with the result. We're not delighted, most of us just understand the risks of easily losing the game at Anfield. I'm happy with the way we went into the game with a gameplan and executed it. It wasn't perfect though because we were toothless going forward. If we weren't so toothless and if Ibra played better we could've easily nicked the three points.

Henderson was excellent outside of Klopp in 13/14. He was man of the match against Malta about 10 days ago in a game Rooney was awful in. Is he perfect? No. But he's significantly better than the consensus amongst many on here. I guess I watch more closely, which is perfectly normal.

Sturridge is probably Liverpool's best player by the way. Form would suggest otherwise but his goal scoring since signing is superb. He's a quality player.

To be fair your own fans have labelled Henderson crap and as recently as the Burnley game.

Exactly. I expected a defeat and feared a fairly big one, so I was pleasantly surprised/satisfied to see us contest an even game and get a draw. Was I very happy/delighted? Of course not. Draws have never filled me with joy and there's no reason why they should. Joy was beating Liverpool at Anfield last season. Monday night was a decent/good-ish result and performance.

What was interesting though is how poorly they coped with being pressed themselves. We weren't even pressing high we were pressing after the ball came out of their defence...so supposedly when it was with their more accomlished players at keeping the ball. Yet they just presnted it back to us with alarming ease and only really stopped when WE dropped off.

A lot of football is momentum, confidence etc. and players like Mane who've looked really good so far this season, suddenly looked average when we were forcing them to actually earn the right to impose themselves.

I just think overall we answered some question marks that were hanging over us, while Liverpool created a few qquestion marks over themselves.

Both good posts and sum up my feelings.

Mourinho, the players, the club and the fans aren't delighted with a 0-0 draw, I think that is obvious given the post match comments, but we are happy with how comfortable the game turned out in our favour and I think a little surprised how toothless Liverpool were in all honestly.

Anyway forget Liverpool. We got blown away by City for half an hour at OT and Mourinho stated post match he had learnt a few things. He's now put that into practice in another big game and the players have now executed it to a degree. That's progress. When we can defend and carry out a plan properly we can then look at our shortcomings in the final third.

You have to build from somewhere.

I think I could be MOTM against Malta to be fair. .

I genuinely wouldn't touch Sturridge with a barge pole. He's like Louis Saha. To kick on you need to get rid.

I was quite happy with the performance. Not delighted but satisfied. I don't mind games like that, which are a tight tactical battle. We controlled the game and stopped Liverpool playing. At the end of the day, if you draw your "big" away games and win your home ones, that's a pretty good platform - you just need to put teams like Stoke to the sword.

I still hope he does start. That one performance aside, he's looked like a liability against us, and against other big sides who are able to field more natural midfielders than him. Herrera and Pogba both fall into that category.

Can fulfilled my expectations beautifully.

Dark times when your own fans wish they'd been able to play world-beater Georginio Wijnaldum instead of you.

People have already acknowledged that you have the better team which is different from having better individual player.

The reason you currently have the better team is because your manager has had time to work with his players and get them playing the way he wants. We on the other hand are still going through a transition because we've just had a new boss in charge and he's yet been afforded the time to get the team going the way he wants.

We're 8 games into the season, how did Kloop's team look like after 8 games in charge in the league? Would it have been fair to judge him then?

It doesn't matter how good your players are, if they haven't been gelled together as a team they won't be producing results. Football is a team game and time is needed to get a team working together which you've had plenty but us on the other hand are still very early in our work.

Yeah Can was dreadful. He was there to contribute to the attack but never made any forward runs and lost 50/50's all night.

You're harsh on Wijnaldum though. He's been an important part of our attacking play this season.

Can was a worry for me before and during the game. Thankfully he avoided any major brain farts, helped by Utd not being adventurous enough to exploit his obvious flaws. Gini and Lallana would struggle to get into a top 6 side and yet I can't wait for the two of them to return post haste.

Rooney has been dropped from the United side before that. I'm not sure your point.
You suggested anyone could play well against Malta. I was giving you an example of a player who was poor against Malta.

Yet it led to the dropping of United's and England's captain such was the poverty of his display.
Everyone, especially United fans know that Rooney is poor and has been dropped from our first team quite some time ago. I don't see your pont.

Doubt it but again a poster or two doesn't reflect the general position.
Well rawk constitute a sizeable fan base of Liverpool online fans (isn't it the biggest online Liverpool forum? ) and that place was in utter meltdown after the Burnley defeat and Henderson on rawk was basically the equivalent of Rooney on the Caf when the latter stinks the place after a game.

I'll admit I was pretty anti-Henderson following Burnley. He's changed my mind since then with some very good performances but I guess that's football for you.

I bet there's some Arsenal fans who have changed their mind in Walcott between now and the first game of the season.

You are right your manager has had less time, however he has had unlimited funds. We are in transition too, Klopp got rid of 20 plus player in the summer, hopefully future windows will be less frantic.

That is about as inane a comment as you're likely to find on RC today. A vital cog for us so far this season, just because he isn't flash you've ignored/not noticed his contribution to the team.

Unlimited found doesn't solve problems immediately. It doesn't matter hoe many world class and top class player s team has, if they can't play together than it doesn't mean much.

Systems and shape take time to be fully implemented let alone executed properly.

This is why you see a country like Argentina composed entirely of world class attacking players yet can't manage to win anything with that much talent. They still need to get them playing together as a team.

You might still be in transition but your are way further along in your process than we currently are.
