Best performance at anfield for c.13 years.

3 points.

Gerrard sent off.

That feckwit scouse c*nt Barney perma banned.

Perfect day

Just fecking great. The second half was a bit unsettling but the first half performance was more than encouraging, it was the best I've seen us play at Anfield in a long, long time. Probably since December 2007.

If only Di María had not fecked up that simple pass to Rooney. It would have been 3-0 and we could have really thrashed them. But it's still absolutely fantastic. Still drooling over the goals.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeahhh, take it, at the swamp!

Great win by the lads, nothing compares to turning that lot over especially in their own back yard. It's been a while since we dominated a game down there and as for Mata Wow.Beauty.

Barney was probably banned for his cnutish comment regarding that stamp. Well deserved.

Just brilliant today and I'm still smiling. We're a pretty decent football team aren't we and looks as though we're peaking just in time.

Missed the game due to a bloody christening, but feck me what a result. Get in!!
Can't wait for motd2 later, saw the stamp in ssn. Gerrard really is a filthy cnut, can't wait to see the back of the twat.
Although barney was a wum most of the time, I actually liked having the odd debate with him. Gave it like he took it

Just found it, He wrote - Skrtel you hereo. Maybe that thing you mentioned too.

Good riddance in any case.
Yeah he said both, full meltdown today from Barney, the mask of football debate slipped. Personally I think his trolling had become quite boring and predictable, good riddance.

Jones terrifies me. Seems to make every ball a hospital ball. Never let him loose in a china shop

Wowsers, looking forward to motd for the second consecutive week. Good performance today, and a really special second goal. Such a relief that LVG has finally stumbled upon a system. Bodes well.

Great result, buzzing right now. My only negative of todays match is that I HAD TO FECKIN GO TO A DINNER AT MY PARENTS-IN-LAW AND MISSED THE GAME. THANKS A LOT U FECKTARDS.

Now that the euphoria from the result is starting to settle, thinking about it we could have easily thrown that game away in the second half against a team with 10 men, our second half performance was actually pretty poor apart from the goal. Di Maria created our second goal but at the same time as soon as he came on for Young our left side was wide open and we looked very shaky defensively. Rooney was shocking we all know that but I let him off for now as he does have a shocking game in him a couple of time a season and usually returns back to previous form the next game. Blind and Carrick both had some dodgy moments but were decent overall. Apart from that I think everyone else played well.

On to Di Maria again; Is his attacking ability worth more than how poor he seems to make us at every other aspect of the game? He seemed to disrupt everything that was good about our play in the first half. He can play a killer ball out of nowhere but he will also give the ball away time and time again and do nothing in terms of defensive work. Right now I would pick Young ahead of him.

Im not trying to be negative here its just a couple of things to think about as I want us to keep this winning run going.

Your wife must be a supermodel as I'd be getting he told otherwise mate!

Do people think Blind will stay at LB when Shaw is fully fit?
Depends on the game IMO... Against Villa at home, we'll have like 70% possession most likely so Blind's final ball and decision making will be a lot more important then Shaw's defending one on one and his pace. In fact while Blind's in pretty good form I'd just keep him there. Works well having him out there and then carrick and herrera in the middle.

Bear in mind we were at Anfield, against the form team in the league. Yes, we panicked towards the end a bit and we could have thrown the win away but they were always going to have periods of threatening play and, as Liverpool's better play is usually driven by graft and passion more than outright ability, 10 men was always going to make them work harder. Liverpool had two good spells in that match and both times we did really well to wrestle control back.

Di Maria just did what Di Maria does. He's never been a "run the game with 90% passing stats" player. He takes gambles and loses possession a lot and is often inconsistent but he's an assist machine. He's all about creating chances and that's what he did again today. His confidence is clearly in the gutter but he asked for the ball and tried to make things happen - catching the ball was hilarious though. Only bettered by the Scouse thinking it deserved a booking!

Haha, I partly blame myself as I thought the match was kicked off at 16:00 and ok'd the dinner. Didn't have the balls to back off even though my supermodel wife gave me an opportunity to do so.

Lost in the chaos was how delightfully useless Balotelli was yet again. Every Time someone rants about Falcao being disappointing, I'm encouraged by the fact that he's been miles better than Balotelli.

The interview with Rodgers on Sky [http://www1.skysports.com/football/...erpools-poor-start-against-manchester-united] perhaps tells how the stamping and other thuggery we saw today was inspired. In the course of a four minute interview, the Liverpool boss twice uses the word 'aggressive', and twice the word 'fight'. He employs a boxing metaphor: in the first half 'we never laid a glove on them', while in the second half 'we started to press the ball and be much more aggressive... In the second half, the players showed incredible courage to bring the fight to Manchester United'. He then proceeds to exonerate Skyrtel for his stamp on David de Gea. 'Probably in slow motion it would look worse that what it is... He is stretching to get his toe on the ball. Obv When you see it in slow motion it looks like he's maybe purposely stood on him but martins not that type of player, and it was .. just a fraction out'. Yea right, Brendan.
