Leicester City 1:1 Manchester United

Post-match discussion

Can someone explain to me how the ref stops the game with us attacking and the time at 1.45 mins of the MINIMUM of 2 mins of stoppage time?

This pissed me off, big time... I can see it if you're a second or two away, but 15 seconds is a ton of time to do something in the final third.

Down to third, and will be fourth tomorrow when Arsenal play Norwich, but at least we didn't lose.

Basti turning backwards in stoppage time tells you everything you need to know avoid this United.

That was the kind of match where I don't feel it's a problem with the tactics (despite the strange line-up). The fault lies on the attackers for simply not doing well enough. Their movement wasn't good enough and their final ball wasn't good enough.

Both teams looked happy with a draw. But we've looked happy with a draw in nearly every game this season. No urgency, no pressure, no energy.

Fair result would've been 1-0 to us, fecking dull though. This is what a lot of away games are like, people have selective memories

Why don't we just play 10 defenders next time and stop pretending we want to win games.

We are clueless in the final third....we need an attacking coach or LVG has to go.

Decent in defence, slow in midfield and shit upfront.

Unacceptable below average performance again.
No pace at all, taking one too many touches to move the ball forward. Wing play when we don't have a decent crosser or a decent header and never a first time cross either. In fact never more than 1 body in the box at all times.

Meh game. Smalling a beast. Why the heck is the ref blowing with 15 seconds left?!
He knew we weren't even going to try to attack as he'd seen the previous 30 seconds ... (all season), so he figured he may as well blow

what more should we expect under LVG

Completely shit nothing performance match after match

We look awful going forward.

I don't think any team attacks as slow as we do.

Had to take up my ps vita mid-ways.
Shit game, shit manager, shit striker (wr), shit "entertainment".

It's just like a pointless exercise, what's the point of having more possession when it never ends it a chance.

We have better players then them just let them go play.

3-5-2 is a joke and I bet it we stuck with the 4231 we would have won.

Far to often we have Darmian and or Young in attacking positions when it should be someone like Mata or Martial.

Same old same old. We need 11 players playing, carried 2 today, arguably 3.

I thought Martial did well today, if only Memphis could do the same.

Too much pass to the nearest person from the back to midfield and then no movement. Thought the Frontline were pretty good today as far as movement went.

2 points dropped.

Against a team that concede a lot of goals, we managed 2 shots on target while dominating possession.

Did I forgot to mention both shots where from set plays....

I'm worried we're killing Martial. This is probably irrational, born out of the fecking dull shite we're serving up week after week, in which he gets caught up, seemingly. I'm just concerned that it might seriously hinder his development. Not that he played badly. But he seemed so much livelier when he started out.

Anyway, boring game, at least we got a point. The big positive was Rooney getting subbed, I didn't expect that.

Meh,
Leicester are probably one of the few teams that warrant it but we don't fecking need 3cb's or 2 dm's on the pitch.
Wish van gaal would be less of a pussy at least until we start scoring a few goals.

You don't spend 200m or what ever it is under LVG to be contempt with a point against Leicester City.

I've had enough now of LVG and his stubborn ways, we aren't going to progress anywhere under this guy.

The only positive is Wayne finally being taken off even though the media will spin it because he was "injured".

This pissed me off, big time... I can see it if you're a second or two away, but 15 seconds is a ton of time to do something in the final third.

Meh we would have just passed it backwards anyway.

Does LVG even want us to score goals, or does he have some fetish where he gets off from us making an over-abundance of sideways and backwards passes?

Need some quality in the final third, the team is almost there but just so utterly devoid of craft, creativity and spark in the final third. Herrera must play every game when fit and we need some a top class winger and forward.

Not enough effort to win the match in the second half. We are in the title race but you wouldn't know it when you see the lack of urgency.

With the injuries and initial selection I'm happy with a point. They are a good team. This is what we are now, it's boring, but functional.
