We’re like a shitter version of 01/02 United. Scoring a lot of goals in Europe, goalkeeper committing howlers
3 in Munchen, 3 in Copenhagen and 3 in Turkey and not a single win
Onana gonna nono. Onono indeed.Gonana
Why do you not just camp out on your 3-1 lead and wait for the inevitable gaps on the counter? Craziness, should have beaten those shit cnuts twice and seen out the game against Copenhagen away.
What can the manager do if your GK is behaving like an open dam?
There were encouraging signs, but once again we managed to snatch defeat (well, a draw) from the jaws of victory. It is worrying how much and how easily we let leads go. The game should have been over at 3-1.This draw and potential elimination from the CL doesn’t seem to hurt as much. There are signs of improvement. The weak point in this game was our GK. Our attacking play is actually shaping up nicely.
It's a remarkable achievement, if you think about it.Score 12 and still have a -2 goal difference.
Wasnt he doing well before this game?Drop him.
100% Pellistri - idiotic performanceSounds like a direct go at Martial late on, or potentially McTominay in the first half. He was furious on both occasions.
Any manager who knows how to manage would have solved the situation with Sanc ho for the good of the team

Also a 2-1 lead vs Gala at OT in the final 20 mins.Still can't believe we let 2 goal leads slip away at Copenhagen and gala.
Last night is all on Onana, you can`t have a goalie performing like that. He may have been statistically performing well recently but for any of us that watch him it is plain to see that his handling is extremely hit and miss and doesn`t inspire any confidence. It is a worry going forward but a team will never compete at the very top and challenge for trophies with a dodgy keeper.

1st goal is ridiculous. Two of their guys stand in the middle of our wall and we just let them do it instead of pushing them.
How ironic is it that the worse two managers for united post fergie in Europe are both Dutch managers
Really has been a perfect storm.3 in Munchen, 3 in Copenhagen and 3 in Turkey and not a single win
ETH's last season is arguably our best post SAF (top four and a cup, which no one else has done), at worst it is 2nd to Jose's first season. How ironic is it that the worse two managers for united post fergie in Europe are both Dutch managers

Utter chaos.
To try to take something away from it on the individual player level:
Onana - obviously a disaster game. A real setback after a string of good games that made him look like maybe he was finally settled.
Shaw - not a great performance. Lots of trouble down that flank. He hasn't brought greater stability to the defence so far.
Lindelof - tame game, at the lower end of his normal performance range. Not much in the way of creative passing.
Maguire - Good. He really deserves credit for fixing his game, with at least two new features now being seen regularly over a protracted period: An ability to stand up and break up attacks high on the pitch without making big errors of judgment, and an ability to pass forward quickly and well.
Wan-Bissaka - pronounced problems defensively, and assist aside not that much involved going forward. As it stands, Dalot looks the better option presently.
Amrabat - didn't mess up, but added nothing very useful. Did not strengthen his case for playing time.
McTominay - above his own average, and a good goal, but he is what he is. Not a stabiliser, and his impact is just limited.
Garnacho - another great goal, but as was the case against Everton, not really a lot more over the rest of the game. He's becoming a man of a few golden moments per game, although in this team who can blame him.
Bruno - the best he's been in a while, and finally up to his own high standards. Strong game.
Antony - up to his own low standards, as usual. There just isn't that much positive impact. Considerably less than Rashford, playing on the right.
Højlund - really not much in evidence. I wonder how long the positivity about him will survive - he still gets credit for things like making good runs into the box or making nice layoffs or pressing energetically but then, Wout Weghorst did that too.
Subs;
Pellistri - the usual; hard-working, energetic, ambitious, not much actual end product.
Mainoo - to me he was every bit as good as he was against Everton, though he lost his man on the third Galatasaray goal. Contributed considerably more in 35 minutes than Amrabat did in 65. To me, he's a starter until he plays himself out of that status.
Martial - some positives offensively, but messed up badly on the second goal. Better than most cameos we've seen from him this season, which is a very low bar.
The in-game IQ is dogshit, yet the team is full of internationals all with experience of semi-finals, finals etc.
No real excuse for why they have no grasp on how or when to slow/control the game for 5-10 minutes.
I'm glad someone else agrees that AWB, Garnacho, Hojlund and Shaw were pretty bad. MEN gave them 7, 8, 6, and 7, respectively and I usually agree with their grades. Very weird.
Garnacho plays like hyper 16 year old. There is just no nuance to his game.
AWB and Hojlund played like they were afraid of reinjuring whatever ails them. If that's the case, they should not have started.
Shaw just looked in a daze most of the night.
Amrabat looks to be a slight upgrade to Fred. He just looks so lumbering when he moves and does not have clean feet with the ball like Mainoo. Why were we going to spend 70m for this guy? I just don't understand our transfer decisions.
It’s more annoying that two of their goals came from free kicks.Being 2-0 and 3-1 up and not going on to win the game is just unacceptable. We're too easy to score against. Gutted.
Who was going to spend 70m on Amrabat?
I've never understood why so many pre season kept on the "If we get Amrabat in things will improve" train, as if he was a Prime Carrick. Whenever people can only mainly bring up a players World Cup performances then you have to be careful.
Thinking back on last night - we were bloody unlucky. Onana individually cost us the game but we still should have won it. The other thing that I simply can't understand is how Torreira not only stayed on the pitch, but wasn't even carded? Then we get yellows for innocuous challenges like Amrabat's 50/50.
