That's a bit uncalled for, obviously the next time I'm up in Manchester I wouldn't want to be out on my arse. So again - thank you for the heads-up! :)
The heads up is the one up your backside

I’m happy for you to support Utd, I have no problem. Just stay away from Utd.
We need fans who will support the team. Not the ones who sit on their hands or boo the team. So if you fit either category, watch the game at home. You can boo to your hearts content

A really disappointing day. We started great with a real high energy performance that got the crowd going. The team was pressing well, players were moving, making themselves available. It was exactly what you would want from a performance at home against another good team. Mata performed his role quite beautifully again in his preferred 10 role, whilst being asked to man mark Jorghino off the ball.

Focussing on De Gea's error misses the point. Second half there was just nothing. We didn't have a shot after the 52nd minute apart from Rojo's header in injury time. Think about that for a minute: in a game that was almost certainly a must win, we went 40 minutes without a single shot whilst drawing. That's abysmal by the standard of anyone and it was another example of how our football just lacks the basics, which is quite damning of our management and coaching setup. We just should a basic, reliable approach that gives us a fighting chance with the players we've got, but currently do not. If we concede, we are almost fecked.

Creatively we struggle because everything has to go through Pogba. As soon as Pogba is in front of the ball, we have nothing. Nobody from the back can play progressive passes or runs with any degree of reliabilty: none of our full backs, none of our centre backs and none of our other midfielders. So we essentially have a scenario where we either ask Pogba to sit deep and hamstring him, or we have him and our other forwards unable to be found. The thought of this team without Pogba currently is terrifying

Matic did well first half but look done by the end. His last 15 minutes were laughably bad. Lukaku ditto: Higuan looked bad, but Lukaku matched him by the end. Both were constantly offside and were passengers by the end of the game.

Considering what was required ... a draw is the same as a loss.

It must be down to fitness ... surely these players understood the ramifications of a draw but just do not have the energy levels to kick on second half.

Absolutely shocking tbh.

Id go all out in the summer and get rid of nearly everyone ! and have a complete rebuild and start from there.

There were boos. The only noise i heard from some of the shit house pricks that come to watch. Dreadful supporters.
We have them mate. Just had one post on here that, that’s what match going fans should do!!!

A wholesale clear out is the only option.

We just need to get a bit more sophisticated than bouncing between 'it's the players' and 'it's the coach' every month. The problem is everything. You need new owners, a new CEO and a really good director of football with a massive budget, a clear plan and five years to execute it. As we have none of those things we will remain circling fifth place for the forseeable future.

Just not good enough in the second half. First half was best we’ve played in a while, scored a good goal and we only went in level through another DDG mistake.

As soon as Rashford went off and Sanchez came on to join Mata and Lukaku in a front three though, we might as well have given up. I know Martial hasn’t been great lately but I’d rather bring him and also Chong or Greenwood on instead of fecking Sanchez.

Bring on next season.

Just let top 4 drift away without giving a shit. fecking wank. feck off.

Let’s just remember where we were before Ole came eh.

It’s the hope that kills us. Ole gave us hope much deeper into the season the Mourinho would have done

You know what, it's strange that for decades of me supporting United with all my heart's content I never quite received the memo on how to properly support it. Just got one today, on an online forum and wrapped in abuse unfortunately.

People keep asking why we can only play well for 45 mins (be that 1st or 2nd half) ... has happened match after match. Its obvious - the squad is not at the required fitness levels for a top 4 competing side. To me that's what's cost us as much as anything else.

Perfectly correct.
Did you see Lukaku in the first half after a run.
He was gasping for breath and was bent forward with his hands on his knees.
It wasn't as if he had just run the marathon.
I have said it many times. Most footballers are nothing like fit enough.

Solskjaer cost us big time today. If you can't make the big decisions you shouldn't be a manager.
No he didn't, DDG and the other players did.

Played well until that mistake, gave them the goal and then didn't have the heart to get over that and up their game to get the win.

No manager will win anything with this bunch of heartless cowards.

Solskjaer picked a keeper who's been throwing it into his own net for 6 weeks. Hadn't the courage to drop a keeper who has clearly lost his nerve.

We're only 9 points away from Wolves.

That's not true.
Taken from the PL's website:

How does winning UCL/UEL affect qualification?
Should a Premier League club win the UEFA Champions League they will automatically qualify for the group stage of next season's competition regardless of their league finishing position.

Should a Premier League club win the UEFA Europa League they will automatically qualify for the group stage of next season's UEFA Champions League regardless of their league finishing position.

A maximum of five Premier League teams are eligible for UEFA Champions League qualification.

In the event that a Premier League club win the UEFA Champions League and another win the UEFA Europa League and neither of these clubs finish in the top four of the Premier League, the club lying fourth in the table will drop into the UEFA Europa League group stage.

EDIT: Chelsea would still have to finish 5th...

Our fans were terrible, a big game and an even bigger chance to put us back in the top 4 picture and we fold. If we'd have got behind them, they'd have rallied and beat Chelsea as they were there for the taking.

Says it all when the biggest roar from the crowd was when 7 minutes of injury time were announced and a big clap when the attendance figure was also announced.

We're not going to achieve what we want the team to, if we just sit and take it when they're performing below par.

Are we actually buying that the players aren’t fit then? I can understand tired, given the amount of games and coming off the back of the World Cup. But I honestly fail to see how the side can’t be “fit”.

We do press more under Ole, but it’s not constant and we back off once the opponent gets through the initial press. You might expect a drop off at around 75 minutes if we were unfit. The second half was so slow and disjointed straight away, it wasn’t a fast paced game at all.

I don't know why it's so abhorrent to you. Yes, support the team until the final whistle but after that I don't see anything wrong with letting a bunch of millionaires know that not having a shot on goal for 40 minutes is not acceptable. It's not going to magically turn them into better players but visible and audible discontent is pretty much the only way top management can be pressured into making drastic changes.

Then let the decision makers know! Boo them. We saw effort out there today. If they aren’t good enough, fair enough, but boo them when they were trying?

BTW the boos were for Atkinson

Am I the only one who heard boos at the end?
It was more apathetic booing than any real sign of rebellion. Imagine "for feck's sake" muttered under your breath as a boo. It was that kind of boo, not "feck off you twats".

Ole still got chants coming off, but there is a real sign of apathy in the Stretford End right now. People can't bring themselves to hound this manager, but...

I see no harm in booing the team a bit after a shite performance. Fans spend their money, and it is actually these fans who made these players millionaires. We have one of the best supporters in the world, so the team and coaches need to wake the feck up and feel some heat after a poor game.

How? We can put up banners that say "feck off Woodward" or something but that's about it.

Also, "trying" is the lowest possible bar for any professional footballer.

So don’t boo! That’s all

And who has been the best keeper in the league for at least 5 seasons. You obviously have never managed even the local tidily winks under sevens

The only problem I have with todays game (apart from DDG's blunder and drop in form) is bringing McTominay on instead of Martial. 3 pts was paramount today and would have put us in a great position for reaching top 4. Why the feck do we bring on McTominay. Yes he blows hot and cold but if anyone could have nicked a goal for us it was Martial. Bad tactics from Ole!

Maybe hound Ed at least.

He has not been the worst. When the game cried out for pace out in the wings, our FBs psssed back. Our strikers rarely passed to each other and so on.?
How’s that on Pogba

I'm by no means a massive fan of pogbas attitude and general all round displays. I thought he played well in the first half he seemed to have much more energy and looked up for it.

If you watch a replay of Chelsea's goal his face says it all. He didn't come out for the 2nd half. Poor attitude but it's not only him.

Pogba frustrates the life out of me he has more in his locker but seems to think he deserves to be playing at a better level with better players (hes probably right). No excuses for not turning up when you're being paid what he is.

Plenty wrong with the team at this moment in time and summer cant come quick enough.

Pray for a right back a right winger and someone in the centre of the park who can dictate games.

Goes hand in hand though doesnt it. If the fans feel the players are doing everything to get going, they increase the noise. The players were coasting for the whole second half.

Historically, today would’ve been the poor performance ‘blip’ in an otherwise decent run-in.

Now it’s become one of the better results. Says it all.
