Post-match discussion

Unfortunately, pre-season went out the window from the first whistle. Disorganised, clueless football.

I'm sick to death of the same faces, causing the same issues.

That ones for all the big talkers during Preseason who mocked other posters for concerns anybody can see are justified. Keyboard warriors, enjoy.

Shite game. Team lacks talent in all the same areas as last year. Several questionable decisions from the manager.

There's always next year...

The difference in the team from taking Fred and Mctominay off. Fred has no idea how to go forward and every single pass he made was that predictable Brighton could shut the move down before the ball had left his foot.

We should never ever play Eriksen up top again. Looks so much more comfortable in the centre

Midfield non existent in the first half. So easy to get bullied.

Bruno has been wank. He needs to sort himself out.

Rashford and Sancho done feck all.

The only positive for me is Eriksen. He looks decent when played in the middle.

Only positive is that Glazers will feel they need to open up the cheque book.

Less than a month to fix what could have been fixed 3 months ago. Now we will overpay, no choice.

You can't make chicken tikka masala out of chicken shit. And we have too many chicken shits at this club.

Awful start. Second half was slightly better, but only because Brighton sat back as they knew we couldn't score. We didn't even score our own goal.

Shit squad so no surprises there. With that board things will never change. Don't know where we get these crap guys from all the time

It's just his first game. He's too intelligent not to have learned anything has ETH.

Let's see how we get on.

There's no hope for several players on the team. Terrible effort all around.

Did we even have a shot during added time? They kept it in our corner for the entire 5 minutes, and didn’t have to struggle that hard to do it. We didn’t look arsed.

Hopefully he learns that McFred and Dalot are useless. If he hasn't yet, there's a big problem.

Pathetic. Too many average players. Rashford, Sancho, McTominay, Dalot are all not good enough. Bruno still yet to find form. It's okay though we'll sign Arnautovic tomorrow.

How did any expect anything else? I will never understand how some fans were so positive going into this. This was always the outcome.

You can't shine a turd.

At least this lot is consistent...

Can't really polish a turd and expect it to turn into a diamond (no matter how good a manager ETH is). You work with what you got.

Didn't see anything to be hopeful about there. Ten Hag hasn't had much time yet, of course, but so far it's a weaker squad than last season and still no detectable tactics.

Expected... I mean not much has changed .. what did we expect?

Same old, same old.

Cannot do it all in one window, but we need rid of 6-7 who started today.

Poor start but part of the process for EtH to build his own side. We'd do well to finish 5-6 this year
